  • Hormones, Peptides, GLP-1s & Perimenopause
    2026/10/14

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought, "Whose body am I in?"

In this episode of Sugar, Spice & Spirits, Kelly, Mindy and Natalie sit down with pharmacist and compounding pharmacy owner Dr. Brandy Williams for a candid conversation about perimenopause, hormones, weight gain, brain fog, libido, peptides, GLP-1 medications and what really happens when women's bodies start changing.

Dr. Brandy explains why perimenopause symptoms can begin earlier than many women realize and why being inside a "normal" laboratory range does not always mean you feel normal. She discusses tracking symptoms, hormone testing and working with a healthcare professional who looks at the complete picture.

The conversation also gets very real about libido, vaginal dryness, testosterone and Scream Cream. Yes, there is a toast involved.

They dive into NAD, BPC-157, peptide stacking, Glow and Wolverine stacks, recovery and the dangers of buying mystery peptides or prefilled syringes from questionable sources.

Then the ladies tackle GLP-1 medications including semaglutide and tirzepatide. Dr. Brandy talks about food cravings, weight loss, muscle loss, lifestyle changes and why she views treatment as a process rather than a quick fix.

Kelly discusses her recovery following spinal surgery, and the group also gets into energy, focus, Adderall, cellulite and why women need to become active participants in their own health conversations.

This episode is educational conversation only and is not individualized medical advice. Talk with a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping or changing medications, hormones or peptides.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • Perimenopause symptoms can appear earlier than many women expect.

    • Your symptoms matter alongside laboratory testing and medical evaluation.

    • Hormonal changes can affect much more than periods, including mood, sleep, energy, weight and libido.

    • Peptides and compounded medications should come through qualified healthcare professionals, not random internet sources.

    • GLP-1 medications are discussed as part of a larger health process, not simply a quick weight-loss solution.

    • Ask questions, track what is changing and work with a provider who understands your individual situation.

What was the first change that made you think, "Something is different with my body"?

Follow Sugar, Spice & Spirits, share this episode with another woman who needs this conversation, and tell us what you want us to ask Dr. Brandy in Part 2.

  • Gen X Halloween: Costumes, Candy and Pure Chaos
    2026/10/07

    SEO TITLE

Gen X Halloween: Costumes, Candy and Pure Chaos

    DESCRIPTION

Halloween looked a little different when Gen X was growing up.

In this episode of Sugar, Spice & Spirits, Natalie, Mindy, and Kelly are swapping Halloween stories that somehow get crazier the longer the conversation goes.

Kelly remembers a teenage trip to Stratton Ridge Cemetery that ended with a cemetery caretaker standing in front of their car with a shotgun. Mindy tells the story of neighborhood kids getting scared so badly they practically launched themselves into a minivan. Then the conversation moves into creepy clowns, haunted houses, classic horror movies, and the scary movies that Gen X still remembers.

Natalie brings back memories of those plastic Halloween masks we could barely see or breathe through, along with homemade costumes including a bubblegum machine, a mime, deer in headlights, and the Holy Ghost.

The ladies also talk about how Halloween changes when you grow up. Think neighborhood cocktails, pumpkin wine dispensers, boxed wine, adult treats, creative costumes, and Halloween parties.

Of course, no Gen X Halloween conversation is complete without candy.

Which houses gave the good stuff? Who handed out full-size candy bars? Did your parents inspect your candy? And did they take their share afterward?

Natalie has a name for it: the tax.

The episode ends with a new Halloween challenge. Natalie, Mindy, and Kelly are competing to see who can bring in the most new Sugar, Spice & Spirits subscribers on Halloween.

  • Five Friends Started a Business... Here's What Happened
    2026/09/30

What happens when five longtime friends decide they are tired of paying $150 for golf shirts and think they can build something better?

Jeff Welch joins Sugar, Spice & Spirits to tell the story of Jack Apparel, a golf apparel company he founded with four friends while continuing his full-time career in commercial banking.

The guys pooled roughly $20,000, tested products from different manufacturers, started selling through their own networks, and slowly reinvested into the business. What began as an idea to make enough money for an annual golf trip eventually filled a dining room with inventory, moved into a warehouse, and then doubled its warehouse space.

Jeff shares what growing a side business really requires when all five partners still have careers, families, kids, and other responsibilities.

We also dive into Jeff's career in banking and the lessons entrepreneurs should understand before asking for financing.

Jeff explains the difference between community banks and large national banks, why character can matter when evaluating a borrower, how bankers look at risk, and why the strongest banking relationships go far beyond simply finding the cheapest interest rate.

Plus, we talk football, three ACL surgeries, college sports, competitive golf, women's apparel, business partnerships, Shark Tank, and why golf trips suddenly become "content creation."

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • How five friends launched Jack Apparel with roughly $20,000 • Why inventory and cash flow can make apparel businesses difficult • What happens when your side hustle becomes a legitimate company • How to balance a growing business with a full-time career and family • Why community banking can be relationship-driven instead of transactional • What entrepreneurs should understand before asking a bank for money
