Stride by Stride – Ultra Tales Around Colerne

In this episode of Stride by Stride, we lace up and head out on the trails around Colerne, a village perched on the edge of the Cotswolds in Wiltshire, just north‑east of Bath. Rolling hills, quiet lanes and classic countryside provide the backdrop as we run and talk all things ultra.

We’re joined by Pawel, Dave and Mark for an honest, wide‑ranging chat about ultra running — what draws people to the longer distances, how they train, and what keeps them coming back when things get tough. Along the way, we dive into experiences from some standout races including the Butcombe Ultra, the Vale Coastal Ultra, and the Chiltern Hills 100k, sharing lessons learned, highs, lows and plenty of practical insight.

We also put Rockface antiperspirant spray to the test on the run, discuss the 10k Improver Course, and the hosts catch up on what they’ve been up to recently — from training updates to upcoming goals.

Whether you’re ultra‑curious, deep into marathon territory, or just enjoy a running chat on the trails, this episode is packed with stories, advice and easy miles.
