Mindy Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Reiki Master, Spiritual Coach, Rose Path Initiate, Creator of The Sanctuary of Krystal Sophia and more. Mindy uses an integrative approach, combining clinical skills with energy healing and shamanic practices to treat PTSD.
As an Intuitive Empath, Certified Medical Intuitive, Star Seed, and Energy Healer she also provides various Quantum Healing modalities apart from her Psychotherapy practice.
Coming from a life filled with adversity, trauma, and family with mental health and addiction issues, Mindy’s near death experience at age 5 followed by out of body experiences while in the hospital with encephalitis months later provided her with a magnified awareness, shifted her into metacognition, and intensified her empathy that gave rise to the ability to heal herself and others.
In 2023, a post operative stroke in the visual cortex left Mindy with central vision loss that she rehabilitated via painting. While painting the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot, which tells the story of the Hero’s Journey, she regained about 95% of her vision and lived out each card as she painted it. When complete, she named her collection “Return of the Divine Feminine” not knowing the new quest life would have in store for her.

In this episode of Strange Stories with the Seeker and the Skeptic we talk with two besties, Mel and Cati, who are starting their own paranormal podcast, Scribble and Boo. During the conversation we discuss strange experiences they had growing up in Northern Virginia and their thoughts and theories about their experiences with dopplegangers, feng shui mishaps, and even the appearance of a black mass.

One correction from this episode, The Flatwoods Monster was seen in Flatwoods, West Virginia in Braxton County. The museum is located in Sutton, West Virginia.

This episode sees a bit of a format shift for us, as we talk about our recent trip to New Orleans, and some of the things we learned about how much voodoo is misconceived. Probably we will be peppering these eps in alongside interviews as time goes on.

We know that this barely scratches the surface of how misunderstood Voodoo really is - it's really just an attempt to begin an acknowledgement of this.
