  • Episode 5: Inhaling Inequity - Hearing God through the Haze

What is God saying through Singapore's haze?

Podcast host Jennifer Choi opens Episode 5 with that question - and explains why she did not feel led to pray the haze away. Instead, she heard the Lord say that Singapore, long insulated from the world's suffering, is now breathing in the iniquities of the nations, some of them financed from Singapore itself. Drawing on Isaiah 24, Ezekiel 16:49 and Micah 6:8, she warns against the sin of comfort and calls the church to become mobilisers of resources that regenerate land and lift people up - not extract and use them up.

  • Episode 4: Why Your Church is NOT a Prophetic Church

"You think your church is prophetic. The reality is it probably is not."

The host opens Episode 4 with a deliberate provocation, and explains why. Prophets have always used shock and vivid imagery to make God's message unmistakably clear, and even Jesus spoke to Peter both tenderly and harshly. She argues that a church can have people who prophesy without being a prophetic church. She points to four places where churches fall short: how they reveal Jesus, whether prophets have any real voice in leadership, whether prophecy belongs to a gifted few or the whole body, and whether there's any structure for stewarding it well. Her aim isn't to discourage but to invite. She leaves listeners with practical first steps and a reminder that the goal isn't a "prophetic" label, but a pure and powerful church ready for the bridegroom's return.

  • Episode 3: Made in Singapore - The Prophets We Actually Need
    2026/08/15

"Singapore doesn't have a shortage of prophets. It has an importation problem."

The host opens Episode 3 with that line, questioning why churches keep spending tens of thousands of dollars flying in Western "big names," while the prophetic gifts sitting in their own membership go untrained. She likens these costly one-off events to the pool of Siloam - crowds hoping to be the one touched by God, going home disappointed when they're not. Her answer isn't to reject outside voices (who do bring value), but to raise up prophets in Singapore. She puts forward three types of prophets that Singapore needs: those who can train, equip, mentor, and accompany believers in prophecy (rather than fly in once a year for a huge fee); prophets invested in the well being of God's people (the healing prophets), and prophets who can reform and rebuild our economy and the way we do business.
