Noah and Jules picked a bunch of songs including some of their own and songs ferom the Melbourne scene/their contemporaries. Dave also declared happily that this would be AN ALL AUSTRALIAN PLAYLIST (besides the opening Kinks track titled "Australia") It was tough not to cave for at least one New Zealand band. Every year WPKN does a BOD DYLAN BIRTHDAY BASH fundraiser. This year in the middle of Brendan Toller and Herman Olivera's three hour shift Dave Schneider popped in with a surprise performance and fundraising idea. He asked OLD BOB (Brian Anderson and Chris Cavaliere) to play any song from Mr Dylan's catalogue for $100 donation. Things went swimmingly and Dave even had to join in on a very blurry version of "Visions Of Johanna". It was a blast and Chris and Brian absolutely slayed it.

Dave plays what he thinks is some damn good cuts and speaks to man who is taking the slow road to music domination in the Amherst area and beyond, Skeg Kendall. He has a new record out and his past has been one of Dave's faves. Lifeboat, a band he had with legendary producer Gary Smith (Pixies, Blake Babies, Billy Bragg, Scrawl) Brothers Kendall and Tacklebox were all solid and sweet. Listen in!

I met John Perrin while he was out with NRBQ about 10 years ago. The band came over to my house and attacked my record collection. It was a heavenly 2 hours. John fit perfectly in my fave band. That band is a music lesson and a sweet stew for the soul. As you can see above and hear in the show you hopefully listen to right now, the kid is a monster talent and loves/lives music like we all of us nut jobs do.

This was a neatsville show! So neato! Ok, I will stop with the neat stuff but besides some great tunes of all sorts, My guest Tim Healy talks about being in the studio for his first job at Mtv 120 Minutes with a new band called Oasis. We play that live raw track and so much more. Very neaty stuff.

It's not easy to be a band and make recordings that are not derivative. At some point you do something that sounds like The Beatles, Chuck Berry or (name the band). Peter Katis has expressed his love of Bernard Hermann (Frequest composer for Alfred Hitchcock Films) They don't sound like him either. I LOVE THIS BAND who are also my best friends. Ps Peter Katis has also produced/mixed many many very influential records ie INTERPOL, THE NATIONAL, FRIGHTENED RABBIT and of course......THE ZAMBONIS

The Problem With Kids Today! Nothing beats a great trio and they are exactly that. A great trio. Dave and The Kids chat it up and play what they want to hear too. Of course Dave plays his sweet picks too.
