Join BBC Journalist, Mat Trewern and BBC Radio Manchester Presenter, Michelle Dignan, as they follow this major criminal trial from day one.
Ahead of the prosecution opening speech, Mat and Michelle speak to Barrister Kirsty Brimelow-KC, who is chair of the Bar Council about delays in getting prisoners to court.
The trial will follow a husband from Stockport accused of drugging and raping his wife, and 12 other men alleged to have sexually abused the victim
The husband and the 12 other co-defendants – who all deny the charges - will stand trial at the same time, at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
One man has already pleaded guilty to all charges he faced.
