Are you ready to make Bible study a priority? Would you love to be more familiar with the stories and passages in scripture? Do you long to connect with God and strengthen your faith?

Friend, you are in the right place. This podcast will help you understand your Bible, apply verses to your life, and become more confident with the who, where, and why in scripture

Hi, I’m Angie. I’m a pastor and Bible teacher. For years, even though I knew God loved me, I still dealt with defeating doubts about my value and purpose. It wasn’t until I began deeply studying the Bible that I experienced a heart transformation that allowed me to recognize the lies of the enemy that kept me stuck in shame and defeat. Studying scripture allowed me to stand firm on God’s promises that offer peace, joy, hope, and rest. I created a Step By Step Bible study method that teaches you to find life application in one word of scripture, and I will share it with you in these episodes.

If you crave a deep dive into scripture…

Bible study tools you can trust…

And a method designed to equip you to study with confidence…

Then, pull up a seat at our table, open your heart, and prepare to hear God speak directly to you.

  • 331 | Sword of the Spirit: Using God’s Word in Battle (Ephesians 6:17b)
    2025/09/10

Ephesians 6:17 calls us to take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. But what does it look like to use God’s word as a weapon in everyday battles?

In this week’s episode, Angie and Katie unpack how the sword of the Spirit is more than head knowledge. It’s Scripture lived out. When we let truth shape our thoughts, guide our decisions, and speak into our pain, we fight back against the enemy’s lies with the very strength God supplies.

Through word studies, commentary insights, and personal stories, we explore how the Holy Spirit brings Scripture to life within us, reminding us of what is true, equipping us to stand firm, and guiding us to walk in victory. The sword of the Spirit is a gift. And when we raise it, we move forward in power that isn’t ours but His.

  • 330 | Helmet of Salvation: Relying on God’s Victory (Ephesians 6:17)
    2025/09/03

Ephesians 6:17 tells us to take the helmet of salvation, but how do we do that when fear, confusion, and discouragement attack our minds?

In this week’s episode, Angie and Susie unpack what it means to guard our thoughts with the truth of our salvation. They explore how salvation isn’t just a one-time event or a future hope; it’s a present-day reality that brings clarity, security, and peace when the spiritual battle rages.

Through word studies, commentary insights, and personal stories, we dig into how remembering the victory we already have in Jesus keeps us steady, even when our thoughts feel chaotic. The helmet of salvation isn’t just protection—it’s a promise. And it reminds us: we’re safe, we’re known, and the outcome is already decided.

  • 329 | Shield of Faith: Speaking God’s Truth to the Enemy’s Lies (Ephesians 6:16)
    2025/08/27

Ephesians 6:16 urges us to take up the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. But what does it really mean to raise that shield in the heat of spiritual battle?

In this week’s episode, Angie and Susie dive deep into what faith looks like when fear, insecurity, and doubt come rushing in. They unpack how our trust in God becomes a powerful defense against the enemy’s lies, and why even mustard-seed faith is more than enough to hold our ground.

Through word studies, commentary insights, and honest conversation, we explore how faith isn’t just belief, it’s surrender. And when we choose to believe God is who He says He is, we don’t just deflect the enemy’s attacks… we extinguish them.

    Ephesians 6:16 (NIV)
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
