    God Is Not Dead | Sermon | 2 Corinthians 3:1-18, 1 Peter 2:4-10, Jeremiah 31:34

What if Christianity were more than the preservation of the teachings of a great leader from the past? What if God is still speaking today?

In this sermon from the Starting with God series, we explore the biblical truth that God is not dead. Jesus is alive. Drawing on the promises of Jeremiah, the teaching of Paul, and the testimony of Peter, we discover how the living God continues to reveal Himself through His Word and by His Spirit.

This message examines the promise of the new covenant, where God's law is written on human hearts and every believer is invited into a personal relationship with Him. We consider what it means to be a "living letter" written by the Spirit of the living God, part of a royal priesthood built upon Christ, the Living Stone.

The sermon also explores the vital relationship between Spirit and truth. Rather than choosing between sound doctrine and spiritual experience, Christians are called to embrace both, testing everything against Scripture while remaining open to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.

Ultimately, the greatest evidence that God is not dead is transformed lives. The Spirit does not merely inform us. He transforms us into the likeness of Christ.

    Scripture Readings: • 2 Corinthians 3:1-18 • 1 Peter 2:4-10 • Jeremiah 31:34

Starting with God is a series exploring the foundations of the Christian faith and the invitation to encounter the living God for yourself.

    You Are My God

What does it truly mean to say, "The Lord is my Shepherd" or "You are my God"?

In this thought-provoking and deeply pastoral message, we explore the difference between simply knowing about God and knowing Him in relationship. Drawing from the Psalms, the teaching of Jesus, and the testimony of Scripture, this talk examines how worship is far more than songs, rituals, or religious practice. It is the posture of a heart that recognizes God's rightful place as Creator, Lord, Father, and Shepherd.

Through the life of David, we discover the journey from belief to devotion, from speaking about God to speaking directly to Him. Along the way, we consider why true knowledge of God cannot be gained from a distance, but only through worship, trust, and surrender.

The message also explores the relationship between worship and theology, showing how the greatest insights into God's character have always come from those who loved, trusted, and followed Him. From David's confession, to Thomas's declaration, "My Lord and my God!", to the worship-filled vision of Revelation, Scripture consistently presents worship as the pathway to knowing God.

As this message culminates in the celebration of baptism, listeners are invited to reflect on a profound question: Who is your God? What we worship shapes who we become, and ultimately determines the direction of our lives.

A powerful exploration of faith, worship, identity, and the gospel invitation to know Christ as Shepherd, Saviour, and Lord.

  • Starting with God 18 - Something Solid

"The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory..." (John 1:14) How can finite people truly know an infinite God? In this message, we explore one of the most astonishing claims of Christianity: that God did not remain distant, hidden behind metaphors, symbols, or religious rituals. Instead, He revealed Himself fully in Jesus Christ. From Eden to the Tabernacle, from the prophets to the promises of Scripture, the Bible tells a single story of God's desire to dwell with His people. Every covenant, sacrifice, and prophecy points forward to the moment when the Creator stepped into creation and "set up camp" among us. Using a simple childhood memory of a toy elephant and a real-life encounter with the animal itself, this sermon examines the difference between hearing about God and truly encountering Him. The incarnation is not merely a theological idea. It is God's invitation into relationship. In this sermon: ✅ Why Jesus is the ultimate revelation of God ✅ How the Old Testament points to Christ ✅ What Hebrews means by "the exact representation of God's being" ✅ God's desire to dwell with humanity from Eden to today ✅ Why Christianity is about encountering a Person, not merely believing ideas Key Scriptures 📖 John 1:14 📖 Hebrews 1:1-3 📖 Hebrews 2:10-18 If this message encouraged you, please like, subscribe, and share it with others. #John1 #Incarnation #JesusChrist #ChristianSermon #BibleTeaching #Hebrews #ChristianFaith #KnowGod #WordBecameFlesh #Gospel #Christianity #BibleStudy #Jesus #Theology #ChurchSermon #StartingwithGod
