  • New Year, Same People
    2026/02/12

    Send us a Message

Season two of Start Talking with Sadie and Scott starts the only honest way possible, by talking about New Year’s resolutions and how quickly they fall apart.

Scott and Sadie read real resolutions sent in by listeners on Facebook, react to gym memberships that haven’t been used yet, emotional support water bottles, and the kind of optimism that only exists in early January. Sadie also shares her goals for 2026, including at least one that everyone agrees will absolutely not happen.

We also talk about the Olympics and what sports there used to be and which ones Sadie would like to see in them now!

If you’ve already broken your resolution, congratulations, you’re ahead of schedule.

  • Wet Socks or No WiFI?
    2025/07/17

    Send us a Message

This week, Scott & Sadie trade lives (at least in theory), slap warning labels on each other, and tackle some impossible “This or That” choices — like whether they’d rather wear wet socks forever or speak only in song lyrics.

They also read listener submissions about the pettiest hills you’re all willing to die on, from toilet paper placement wars to banning the word “yummy,” and react to some of the weirdest news of the week — including a pregnancy-reveal popsicle and a man in a full-body cat suit terrorizing a town.

You’ll laugh, you’ll groan, you’ll probably feel better about your own quirks.

Who would YOU trade lives with for a day? Let us know after you listen!

    2025/07/10

    Send us a Message

In this episode, we sit down with Katie Berg, who shares her deeply personal journey of seeking asylum in Canada and building a new life from scratch. From the moment she arrived to the challenges of starting over in an unfamiliar place, Katie opens up about the fears, hopes, and resilience that carried her through.

We talk about what it’s really like to leave everything behind, how she navigated the immigration process, and how she’s created a sense of home and belonging here. Her story is moving, inspiring, and a powerful reminder of what people are capable of when faced with enormous change.

  • Feelings, Fun Facts and Flamingos!
    2025/07/03

    Send us a Message

Scott and Sadie surprise themselves (and probably you) by having an actual grown-up conversation about mental health and how it affects our kids. It’s honest, thoughtful, and one of our most meaningful discussions yet.

Of course, we don’t stay serious for long—because what’s an episode without some wild news stories, a few ridiculous fun facts you’ll definitely share at your next party, and… a brand-new marketing idea involving flamingos. Yes, really.

Join us for laughs, insights, and maybe even a moment or two that makes you think.

  • We Don't Want to Adult Anymore!
    2025/06/26

    Send us a Message

Adulting is hard. Like, cancel-your-gym-membership-and-assemble-IKEA-furniture-while-on-hold-with-your-insurance-company hard.

In this episode, Sadie and Scott dive into the ridiculous, rage-inducing, and unnecessarily complicated parts of grown-up life that make you want to live in a yurt and eat Pop-Tarts in peace. From applying for a passport with a child to decoding tax paperwork written in what we assume is ancient Sumerian, it’s a full-blown adulting meltdown.

    Plus:

    • Listener-submitted adulting fails that prove we’re all just winging it.
    • A game of “That’s a Thing?” featuring real trends so strange they sound fake.
    • Plus this week’s weird news.

    If you’ve ever screamed “I JUST WANT A NAP” at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday… this one’s for you.

  • Wait, That's Not the Lyric?
    2025/06/19

    Send us a Message

This week we’re diving into the song lyrics we’ve been confidently butchering for years. From power ballads to pop hits, we unpack the lines we misunderstood, misheard, or just flat-out invented—and ruin a few classics in the process.

Along the way, Scott explores the fascinating world of human gaits (yes, your walk says more than you think), Sadie takes a quiz on Canadian inventions (spoiler: she’s surprised by more than one), and we ask the big question—what’s a red flag or a green flag when it comes to making friends as an adult?

  • We Were Today Years Old....
    2025/06/12

    Send us a Message

We were today years old when we found out how many things we knew nothing about our whole lives. In this episode, we dive into the funniest “I was today years old when…” moments—from realizing that pickles are just cucumbers (we already knew that!) to finding out something cool about Octopuses (Octopi?)

But wait—there’s more! We’re not playing one game show… we’re playing TWO. Get ready for another round of Would You Rather (Grown-Up Edition) and Am I Lying? where we test Sadie's ability to sniff out if Scott is lying or not.

And of course, Scott brings his usual chaos with Wacky News Stories You Definitely Missed, including a lottery winner, a snake, and one that sucked. You don’t want to miss it.

  • We're Taking Over-The World, That Is
    2025/06/05

    Send us a Message

In this episode of Start Talking with Sadie & Scott, the power goes straight to our heads — and we love it.

If we ran the world, there would be daily naps, bans on pajama pants in grocery stores, and instant punishment for double parking. We’re rewriting society one petty decree at a time.

We also tackle the weirdest news of the week, including:

    • A missing Paralympian who vanished at WrestleMania

    • A woman who found a stick that was actually alive

    • And robots that run marathons

Plus, we read YOUR ridiculous rules for society — because let’s be honest, we’ve all got a few.

Grab your crown, sip your free universal coffee, and hit play. This is the episode that starts the revolution.
