  • Sweating, Forgetting, and Slightly Confused

    Send us a Message

This week, Scott and Sadie take on a topic they quickly realize they do not fully understand… menopause...well, Sadie does.

What starts as a casual conversation turns into a deep dive into hot flashes, brain fog, sleep struggles, mood swings, and the many things no one really explains ahead of time.

Along the way, they play a game of “Menopause or Made It Up,” investigate real-life scenarios in their version of a “Law and Order: Menopause Unit,” and try to figure out what’s actually happening versus what just feels like chaos.

It’s funny, honest, and a little eye-opening, especially when they realize how little most people actually know about it.

If you’ve ever wondered what menopause really looks like, or thought “that can’t be normal”… this episode might help.

  • OMG!!! We're Vintage Now?
    2026/04/12

    Send us a Message

This week, Scott and Sadie talk about AI, the helpful parts, the weird parts, and whether any of us are really ready for how normal it has become.

Then they take on the slightly offensive realization that a lot of the stuff we grew up with is now old enough to be considered vintage. From Walkmans and Polaroids to shoulder pads and Trapper Keepers, nothing is safe.

To close things out, Sadie plays a game where she has to guess whether bizarre Canadian town names are real or completely fake. Spoiler, Canada is a very strange place.

    Hello Friends!

Scott and Sadie are joined this week by Lisa Zawrotny, host of the Positively Living Podcast and founder of Positively Productive Systems, for a conversation that is part productivity coaching, part life reset, and part gentle intervention for Sadie.

Scott, of course, is doing just fine.

Together, they talk about overwhelm, burnout, routines that actually work in real life, and why trying to do everything perfectly is usually the fastest way to lose your mind. Lisa brings practical, shame-free advice for getting more done without becoming a stressed-out disaster, while Scott does his best to keep things on track and Sadie continues to be a wonderful case study.

It’s funny, honest, relatable, and packed with smart ideas for anyone who feels like life has turned into one long to-do list.

Lisa’s work is through Positively Productive Systems, and her website is https://positivelyproductive.com/

  • The Ghosts of Hobbies Past
    2026/03/26

    Send us a Message

This week we’re opening the hobby graveyard.

From home gym equipment that became furniture to creative phases that lasted exactly one weekend, we’re talking about the expensive optimism behind the hobbies we swore would change our lives.

Why does buying the equipment feel like progress?

When did researching a hobby become the hobby itself?

Plus listener confessions that prove we’re not alone, a painfully relatable news story about the home gym fantasy, and a game that forces us to choose between real hobbies and the gear we never used.

If you’ve ever bought something that was supposed to make you a different person, this episode is for you.

  • We Were Confident… and Completely Wrong
    2026/03/19

    Send us a Message

In this episode, Scott and Sadie look back at the things they believed in their 20s with full confidence… and zero accuracy.

From “I don’t need sleep” to “I’ll have everything figured out by 30,” they unpack the lies that felt true at the time, and what reality had to say about them later. It’s funny, a little humbling, and very relatable.

They get into career expectations that didn’t quite pan out, relationship myths that aged poorly, and the moment you realize nobody actually knows what they’re doing. Plus, listener submissions, a chaotic news story, and a game that exposes just how committed we all were to our own nonsense.

This one’s about growth, perspective, and realizing we weren’t wrong… we were just early.

With listener stories, whacky news, and a game that’ll make you question all your early life decisions, this one’s a riot.

  • New Year, Same People
    2026/02/12

    Send us a Message

Season two of Start Talking with Sadie and Scott starts the only honest way possible, by talking about New Year’s resolutions and how quickly they fall apart.

Scott and Sadie read real resolutions sent in by listeners on Facebook, react to gym memberships that haven’t been used yet, emotional support water bottles, and the kind of optimism that only exists in early January. Sadie also shares her goals for 2026, including at least one that everyone agrees will absolutely not happen.

We also talk about the Olympics and what sports there used to be and which ones Sadie would like to see in them now!

If you’ve already broken your resolution, congratulations, you’re ahead of schedule.

  • Wet Socks or No WiFI?
    2025/07/17

    Send us a Message

This week, Scott & Sadie trade lives (at least in theory), slap warning labels on each other, and tackle some impossible “This or That” choices — like whether they’d rather wear wet socks forever or speak only in song lyrics.

They also read listener submissions about the pettiest hills you’re all willing to die on, from toilet paper placement wars to banning the word “yummy,” and react to some of the weirdest news of the week — including a pregnancy-reveal popsicle and a man in a full-body cat suit terrorizing a town.

You’ll laugh, you’ll groan, you’ll probably feel better about your own quirks.

Who would YOU trade lives with for a day? Let us know after you listen!
