In conversation with my friend Bill Rosier.

Bill manages a private estate on the West Coast of Scotland along with his wife Sue, with one of his key tasks being the management of the deer.

Bill has worked for many years as a deer stalker in both England and Scotland and has some strong views about the future direction of the sector and the issues it faces - i hope you enjoy the episode.

A fascinating discussion with Bill Cowie about his stalking life and the important work undertaken over 24 years introducing and managing Red deer on the island of Rona off the east coast of Skye.

This is a long recording that was going to be spread over two episodes, but on listening back, i thought better for the listener to manage the time rather than disrupt Bill's flow through a clumsy edit.

We actually had a lot more to discuss, which we will pick up in a future episode. I hope you enjoy it.

A fascinating conversation with Chris Murphy, Head Stalker at the historic Mar Lodge Estate - Chris shares his experience in balancing the estate's ecological vision, whilst delivering a sustainable Sporting operation - i hope you enjoy the episode as much as i did chatting with Chris.
