• 63. Feeling Too Emotional? The Truth About Emotions, Shame, & Faith with David Pendergrass
    2026/09/02

Are your emotions making you feel like a bad Christian mom?

What if your emotions aren't sinful—and what if they're actually giving you important information?

In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. David Pendergrass, Biblicist, author, speaker, former senior pastor, and pastoral counselor with nearly 30 years of ministry experience.

We talk about anger, anxiety, overwhelm, emotional reactions, shame, conviction, and what emotional maturity actually looks like for a Christian. David shares practical ways to recognize and process our emotions without letting them control our responses—and explains why we need to stop shaming ourselves for having feelings.

This conversation is honest, practical, encouraging, and full of those “wait...I've never thought about it that way!” moments.

  • 62. 3 Ways to Protect Your Peace
    2026/08/31

We hear “protect your peace” ALL the time—but what does that actually mean for a Christian mom?

In this episode, we’re taking that popular phrase and looking at it through a biblical lens. Scripture tells us to guard our hearts, and Philippians 4:7 reminds us that God’s peace guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I’m sharing 3 practical ways to protect your peace:

✨ Set Limits — Decide what gets access to your time, energy, and attention.

✨ Choose Calm — Learn to step away from unnecessary drama, toxic influences, and things that continually pull you away from God’s peace.

✨ Practice Self-Respect — Stop treating your inner peace like an accident and start prioritizing your relationship with Jesus, His Word, and prayer.

And we’re talking about the difference between rest and laziness, boundaries and avoidance, and biblical peace versus the world's version of “self-care.”

Because protecting your peace doesn't mean avoiding life—it means learning how to guard your heart while keeping your eyes on Jesus.

  • 60. Short On Time? Find Out How to Manage Time, Reduce Stress and Live Peacefully
    2026/08/24

Do you ever feel like there simply aren't enough hours in the day?

You're taking care of the kids, managing the house, trying to work, trying to exercise, trying to spend time with God, trying to be a good wife—and somehow you're still going to bed feeling like you didn't get enough done.

In this episode, we're talking about time management for overwhelmed moms and how creating a little structure can actually bring MORE peace and LESS stress into your day.

I'll walk you through the simple time audit I use to help identify where your time is actually going—and why this is one of the first things we look at inside my 1:1 Christian coaching.

    We'll also talk about:

✨ How to do a simple time audit ✨ Why knowing where your time goes matters ✨ Time blocking for stay-at-home moms AND working moms ✨ How I structure my day using AM, morning, work, afternoon, evening, and PM blocks ✨ Why I prioritize God and fitness first thing in the morning ✨ How planning your tasks ahead of time can reduce decision fatigue ✨ Why you don't have to accomplish everything every single day ✨ The biblical connection between discipline, wisdom, and stewardship ✨ How to leave room for interruptions, unexpected circumstances, and grace ✨ What to do when your perfectly planned day completely falls apart ✨ Why you don't have to throw the whole day away when something goes wrong

I'll also connect this conversation to spiritual growth and share how some of the habits I've developed helped me go from feeling like a baby Christian to a toddler Christian—because just like physical growth, spiritual growth doesn't happen accidentally.

And don't worry…I'm also bringing a little humor into this one because I am very much a Type C girl who can have a beautifully organized day and then completely reroute by lunchtime. 😂

    Because the goal isn't perfection.

We're all a work in progress.

The goal is to learn how to steward the time God has given us, prioritize what actually matters, and create enough structure that we can stop carrying tomorrow's responsibilities around in our heads tonight.

  • 59. From Overwhelmed to Peaceful: Detox Your Home, Calm Your Nervous System & Simplify Your Life with Kari Davis
    2026/08/20

In this episode, Bethany sits down with Kari Davis of The Well Team for a powerful conversation about holistic wellness, essential oils, stress, the nervous system, and creating a more peaceful home.

If you’re a mom who feels overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or like your body is constantly stuck in fight-or-flight mode, this conversation will give you some practical things to think about—not only in your own body, but also in the environment you’re creating inside your home.

Kari shares her personal journey into holistic health, including how grief, stress, and losing her husband at a young age led her to explore natural approaches to physical, emotional, and mental wellness. We talk about the connection between chronic stress and the nervous system, how synthetic fragrances and household products can add to our overall exposure to chemicals, and why simplifying your home may be more beneficial than trying to change everything at once.

We also dive into essential oils and aromatherapy, including how Kari uses oils to support emotional regulation, create a calmer environment, manage odors naturally, and replace some conventional household products. She explains why sourcing and quality matter and shares some of her favorite oils and blends for stress, focus, calming, and creating a more peaceful home.

And if the idea of “detoxing your home” sounds completely overwhelming—don’t worry. Kari gives us a much more realistic approach: start small, go room by room, remove synthetic fragrances first, simplify where you can, and give yourself plenty of grace.

We also talk about motherhood, ADHD, anxiety, grief, faith, community, and why wellness doesn’t have to mean spending a fortune or pursuing perfection.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • The connection between chronic stress and the nervous system • How synthetic fragrances and household products may affect your environment • Where to begin when you want to create a more non-toxic home • Essential oils and aromatherapy for emotional support • Why the quality and sourcing of essential oils matters • Simple swaps that can save money and reduce overwhelm • Supporting a family dealing with stress and ADHD • Creating a peaceful home without pursuing perfection • The role of prayer, breathing, community, and practical wellness • How to detox your home one room at a time

  • 58. Top 5 Ways to be Happy | Google vs. The Bible
    2026/08/12

What does it actually mean to be happy—and should happiness even be something we’re chasing as Christian women?

I did what any curious person would do…I asked Google.

I looked up the top ways people say we can be happy, and then I compared those ideas with what the Bible actually says.

And here’s what I discovered: Scripture speaks into every one of them.

But when we slow down and compare Google’s advice with God’s Word, we find something much deeper than surface-level happiness.

Yes, relationships matter. Yes, gratitude changes our perspective. Yes, caring for our bodies matters. Yes, we’re called to serve others. And yes, Scripture tells us not to live consumed by worry.

But friend…none of those things can give you the lasting peace and joy your heart is really looking for.

In this episode, we’re taking what culture says about happiness and putting it through the truth of God’s Word.

    We’ll talk about:

Why Christian moms need relationships—but can’t expect people to be their source How biblical gratitude is different from toxic positivity What Scripture says about caring for our bodies Why serving others can be life-giving—but also become people-pleasing The difference between setting our minds on truth and what the world calls mindfulness Why Jesus promises peace even when life isn’t peaceful The difference between happiness, biblical joy, and lasting peace Why you don’t need another strategy—you need Jesus

    Because here’s the truth:

The Bible never promises us a happy life.

    It promises something deeper.

Peace in chaos. Joy in hardship. Hope when we can’t see what’s next. Purpose in the ordinary. And a God who never leaves us.

And if you’ve never placed your faith in Jesus, I’ll also walk through the Gospel and what it means to have a real relationship with Him.

If you’re an overwhelmed, anxious, stressed-out Christian mom who is tired of trying to fix everything on your own and just wants real peace in the middle of real life, this episode is for you.

  • 57. Can You Really Have Peace After Tragedy? A Christian Mom's Story of Hope, Grief & Faith with Mae Renfroe
    2026/08/05

What would happen if your worst nightmare became your reality? Would you still trust God?

In today's incredibly moving conversation, I'm joined by Mae Renfroe—a wife, homeschool mom of ten, author, podcast host, and speaker—who shares the heartbreaking story of losing her 14-year-old son in a tragic four-wheeler accident.

Mae opens up about the questions, grief, disappointment, and wrestling that followed, but even more importantly, she shares the supernatural peace God gave her in the middle of unimaginable pain. We talk about what it really means to trust God when life doesn't make sense, why our circumstances don't determine God's goodness, and how it's possible to experience joy and abundant life even after devastating loss.

If you've been battling anxiety, walking through grief, wondering why God allowed something painful to happen, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, I pray this episode reminds you that God has not abandoned you. His peace is real, His promises are true, and He is still working even when you can't see it.

  • 56. Overwhelmed? Learn How to Have Peace in the Chaos
    2026/07/29

No Matter Your Circumstances, God Gives You Peace

Have you ever thought, “If this situation would just change, then I would finally have peace”?

Maybe it’s your marriage. Your kids. Your anxiety. Your health. Your finances. Your circumstances.

We often believe peace comes when life becomes peaceful—but that’s not what Scripture teaches.

In this episode of Spiritual Growth for Christian Moms, we’re talking about the supernatural peace that only comes from God. The kind of peace that doesn’t mean there are no storms, but instead gives you calm, strength, and hope while you are walking through them.

We’ll talk about: ✨ The difference between worldly peace and biblical peace ✨ Why God’s peace “surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:7) ✨ How Jesus gave us peace as a gift in John 14:27 ✨ Why peace is something we receive from God, not something we create ourselves ✨ How Paul experienced peace even through suffering and difficult circumstances ✨ How keeping our minds focused on God leads to the “perfect peace” described in Isaiah 26:3

Friend, your circumstances may change, but God doesn’t.

The same Jesus who calmed the waves, comforted the broken, and strengthened His followers is offering that same peace to you today.

You don’t have to wait until life gets easier to experience peace.

You can have the peace of God right in the middle of the storm.

Grab your coffee (or your Alani 😉), open your Bible, and let’s grow together.
