Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, reviews the things that seem to be suggesting a spiritual awakening in America. He then points out that a spiritual awakening or revival is not just an increase in church attendance, mass baptisms, and increased Bible sales. A spiritual awakening is when God accelerates what would otherwise take decades. He then reviews the significant spiritual awakenings that have taken place in the United States since the 1700s. Dr. Hall points out that that roughly 80 million adults in America think a spiritual awakening is imminent. He then tempers this with survey data that reveals that only 4% of American adults have a biblical worldview. Dr. Hall analyzes what has happened to mainline Protestant churches that makes it almost impossible for these churches to play a role in another great spiritual awakening.
