This is the first of two new special episodes produced in collaboration with the Data to Business project after this year's project activities, in which several company representatives reflect on their journeys to develop prototype Digital Product Passports (DPPs).
In Episode 1, the focus is on the technical perspective and current progress in DPP experiences with data standardization and systems. The two groups of companies highlight different levels of development, but common perspectives on the benefits of meeting the moment of uncertainty with experimentation. Benefits include how data for DPPs can support other activities – including agentic sales channels, circular business models, and sharing knowledge with salespeople as well as customers in an efficient integrated system. Data provided in DPPs is often focused on what customers would appreciate at the moment, as companies are awaiting further clarity in regulations.
Company representatives include: Therese Kaisner (Ferm Living), Natalia Makovetskaya (Ekornes, Linda Pimmeshofer (J. Lindeberg), Anna Bilen (Shyness), Tonje Urrang Øverlie (Kattnakken) and Maria Andersson (NilsonGroup). The host is Sara Harper, Senior Lecturer at the Swedish School of Textiles.
