  • Worth Doing
    2026/08/27
This week we talk about the stress of looking for a job while trying to find something that feels genuinely useful, not just a way to make money, but a place where we can actually contribute and help other people. We continue Flin’s house-building story and learn about some of the relationships around his old neighborhood and some new dynamics, before getting into inclusive language and the arrival of our voting papers. We also share what might have been the most dangerous car ride of our lives, and, naturally, end up asking the important question: what would we actually bring to and do if we got stranded on a lonely island?

  • Talk During Solar Eclipse
    2026/08/19
Recorded during the latest solar eclipse over Europe, this week’s conversation takes us from a quick return to last episode’s bathroom discussion and some of our own research into a reflection on fearfulness, fearlessness, and the filters we put over our perception of the world.
Flin also shares the story behind his latest side quest helping build a house, including the personal reason behind it, some unfortunate workwear choices, and reconnecting with people from the past while experiencing those relationships as adults. Ending the episode with what might be the last gym story for a while?!

  • Life Quality & co.
    2026/08/12
This week we talk about our sleep, practises like controlling room/bed temperature as a life quality improvement hack, and other things that can make a difference. We also get into the idea of surveillance pricing and marketing and sales strategies we might fall victim to, as well as the challenge of staying financially disciplined when there is money to spend. From there, we share experiences of insults and disrespect at the workplace and discuss what to do in such cases, as well as concluding in counter balancing tough phases in life with positive observations and good news to remain hopeful and optimistic. And, as always, there’s a little more in between, including an rather unexpected end to the episode...

  • Lover Over Hate
    2026/08/05
This week's episode was recorded "with the hot needle," as we would say in Germany. A phrase that means it was put together at the very last minute. Due to some scheduling issues, we almost had to skip this week's upload, but Julien came up with a great idea that allowed us to get the episode out on time.

Today's episode also focuses on Berlin's Christopher Street Day and the tragic events that occurred there. Our thoughts are with everyone affected and we want to express our deepest condolences to the victims, their families, and their loved ones.

  • How To: Friendship(s)
    2026/07/29
    Happy International Day of Friendship!

This week’s episode revolves around one central question: what actually makes a good friend? Through a mix of stories, observations, and plenty of detours, we reflect on healthy expectations, mutual effort, boundaries, appreciation, and the qualities we believe help friendships grow and last. Along the way, we talk about the need of fitting in (or not caring to), first impressions and intimidating auras, experiences with addiction and the balance between empathy and accountability, and why simply being yourself shouldn't stop you from striving to be a genuinely pleasant person to be around. We also explore the power of choosing how we respond to life's challenges, sprinkled with a few lighter stories, including an unexpected debate about opening the door in your underwear, and the general importance of choosing the right socks. Hope you enjoy :)

  • How Comfy Is Too Comfy?
    2026/07/22
In this week's episode we again cover a wider range of topics to talk about. We start with a quick check in on how we're feeling, the weather and the mood, before diving into Flin's recap of his most recent musical visit, things that he liked, and things that surprised him. Then we go into another discussion about AI, and our thoughts on mindfulness and intention when it comes to using technology. Then we debate whether changing into comfortable clothes the minute we get home is a must or not, what's appropiate and what's not, and how the situation might change when you've got roommates or having guests over. Lastly, we discuss the perfect length for episodes of visual entertainment like TV series (in our opinion). 20 minutes? 40 minutes? And why's that?

Lots to explore and uncover here, hope you enjoy!

  • As We See It
    2026/07/15
This week we kick things off with a quick recap of Julien's 32nd birthday before catching up on why July always seems to become one of the busiest months of the year for us. From there, the conversation moves between everyday situations and bigger questions, including how we'd want to respond if we heard someone calling for help, balancing compassion with caution, especially in a city like Berlin.
We also reflect on the small misunderstandings that can keep conversations from becoming truly meaningful, the strange reality that we can never fully control how others remember us, and the lasting impact a great teacher can have on someone's life. Along the way, we share our thoughts on hustle culture, burnout, and finding a pace that feels true to ourselves, before wrapping up with another check-in on the ongoing Football World Cup and a discussion about what we think could be fairer. As always, it's a conversation full of observations, reflections, and a few unexpected detours.
