    This week, Chris and Winston kick things off with a couple of listener emails and a hilarious new review - including one listener's suggestion for a potential "steak" alternative that Winston might actually be able to eat with his Alpha-gal allergy.

    Then the conversation turns a little more serious as Winston shares about an issue his daughter is navigating in middle school. The guys talk through how to help our kids handle difficult situations without trying to fix everything for them, when a dad should step in, and when it might be better to let them work through it themselves. Along the way, they wrestle with some of the differences they've experienced raising boys versus girls, and the challenge of knowing exactly what our kids need from us in each season.
    It's a conversation about parenting in the real world - trying to protect our kids, prepare them, and somehow learn when to hold on and when to let go.

    Chris is back from another adventure in the mountains - this time in beautiful McCall, Idaho. He shares some highlights from his time out West, what made the trip memorable, and why there's just something good for the soul about getting away to the mountains.

    But getting home? That's a different story.

    What should've been a fairly routine trip back to Tennessee turned into a travel nightmare involving delay after delay after delay. Chris walks Winston through the entire saga, including the increasingly ridiculous number of flight delays, the frustration of being at the mercy of the airlines, and the moment when you start wondering if you're ever actually going to make it home.

    It's mountains, travel chaos, a few good stories, and plenty of laughs along the way.

    Chris is back from the mountains of Northern California, and he's got some stories to tell. This week, he recaps his trip to JH Ranch for Men's Week - several days with no cell phone, plenty of time in the wilderness, and a group of men who share a desire to know God more deeply.

    Chris tells Winston about the experience of cutting down a tree the old-fashioned way (no chainsaw allowed), a grueling hike into the mountains that led to 24 hours completely alone in the wilderness, and the powerful, emotional encounter he had with God the Creator while he was there.

    Of course, it wasn't all serious. There were plenty of funny moments along the way, too.

    The guys wrap up the episode by sharing a timely email from a listener about one of the hardest things we're called to do as parents: surrendering our children to God, trusting that He loves them even more than we do.
