  • Is "Let Them" Just an Excuse for Bad Behaviour?
    2026/09/10

**** Trigger Warning**** Pregnancy and loss

Soul Style Studio is back after their first Zoom hangout with listeners, and it did not disappoint. This week Sinéad, Nessa and Alvagh dig into the Let Them theory: is it genuinely useful, or just a soft way of excusing bad behaviour? Alvagh brings her take from the mindset side, Nessa gets into the September reset for wardrobes and the two coats actually worth your money, and Sinéad talks through why having no children doesn't make a life any less.

  • Life Before Mobile Phones: A Nostalgia Episode
    2026/09/03
Sinéad, Nessa and Alvagh talk about growing up before mobile phones. Waiting by the landline for someone to ring, tapping payphones for free calls, three TV channels, taping songs off the radio, meeting people at Clery's clock with no way to contact them if plans changed. They also cover old beauty habits like sunbeds, baby oil tanning and DIY hair dye gone wrong, plus school with 40 to 50 kids in a class and how different growing up was depending on which side of Dublin you were from. It ends with a debate on whether phones and fitness trackers are actually good for us, and a challenge to go six hours without a phone.

  • Your Perspective Is Lying to You
    2026/08/27

Recapping our first Soul Style workshop, and finally answering "what is Soul Style?" Alvagh teaches how to catch the stories you're telling yourself ("nobody has any money," "I'm so disorganised") and choose a different perspective. Nessa shows how the same jeans, jumper and blouse can build three different looks, plus the moment a woman finally wore a dress she'd owned for 10 years but thought she was "too old" for. Sinéad covers base and placement, and why beauty needs perspective too.

Plus the "is that true?" mindset trick, neck care advice Alva wishes she'd had decades ago, and the word for a hair bobbin Sinéad had never heard in her life. Next workshop: 8th November, self-care. Save the date.

  • How to Know a Friend Isn't a Friend AnymorePlus Irish Beauty Brands Worth Switching To & Our Beauty-Maxing Eye-Roll
    2026/08/20

This week we're all deep in event prep. Sunday's crept up on us and we're feeling it. We talk Irish beauty brands we can't stop raving about (RIP to every international brand that used to have our loyalty), then get into the real stuff: green flags and red flags in friendship, why some friendships just need to end, and the one physical sign, a literal knot in your stomach, that tells you before your head catches up. Plus, why making friends in your 40s and 50s is easier than you think, homework that'll make someone's day, and this week's eye roll: the "beauty maxing" trend that's gone way too far.

Honest, a bit chaotic, and worth the listen. Hit subscribe and settle in.

  • Success Is Not Having a Knot in Your Tummy
    2026/08/13
This week we're talking about ambition and how it changes as we get older. From chasing the next promotion, the house, the babies, to realising success might just be waking up without a knot in your tummy. We get into the pressure to keep up (with trends, with everyone else, with an anti-ageing world that never lets up), why worrying is just worshipping the problem, and how to redefine what "enough" actually looks like. Plus a bit of homework to be kinder to yourself this week.

  • The Sexiest Part of a Woman's Body and the Non-Negotiables We Won't Drop
    2026/07/30

We're back together after two of us ran off on our holidays. This week we're talking non negotiables, the things we'd never give up no matter what. Alvagh on keeping spirituality real and her nightly gratitude jar. Sinéad on the beauty basics that matter more than any pricey product. Nessa on wearing whatever brings her joy, even the trousers people stare at.

  • Healing Isn't Running Through a Field in a White Dress
    2026/07/23

This week it's all about social media, the good, the bad, and the completely ridiculous.

Alvagh takes aim at the "spirituality in a sentence" crowd and the men queuing up to tell women how to heal.

Nessa explains why the algorithm has quietly hauled fashion and body image back to the '90s, before-and-after photos and all. And Sinéad gets honest about overconsumption, the pressure to explain her own body, and the guilt of being part of an industry she doesn't always trust.
