A restaurant waiter said he was 100 percent certain that Tyler Robinson was inside Cowboys Smokehouse in Panguitch, Utah. The owner says he has no reason to believe Robinson was ever there. Now a new claim says more than two people saw him in town.
The conflicting Tyler Robinson eyewitness accounts raise serious questions about witness credibility, reported law enforcement follow up, and why the word of a person who was not at the restaurant that night is being treated as more important than the waiter who claims he interacted with Robinson.
The waiter says he recognized Robinson by his face and voice after seeing a photograph and hearing a recording. He also says the restaurant contacted authorities but received no follow up. The owner says nobody from law enforcement contacted the restaurant, acknowledges that he was out of town that night, and says he has no reason to believe Robinson was there. According to the man who originally interviewed the waiter, more than two people saw Robinson in Panguitch on September 10. None of those claims independently proves Robinson ate at Cowboys Smokehouse, but the contradictions demand direct answers from the witnesses who were actually present.
Topics Covered- The Cowboys Smokehouse waiter and his Tyler Robinson identification
- The restaurant owner's conflicting account
- The waiter's claim that he recognized Robinson's voice
- Reported contact with the FBI and the alleged lack of follow up
- The missing restaurant camera angle discussed in the account
- The claim that additional Panguitch witnesses exist
- Eyewitness credibility and the status of unverified claims
An eyewitness account should not become established fact simply because it is delivered with confidence. It also should not be brushed aside merely because the witness was a waiter. The only honest approach is to question the people who were present, preserve the distinction between claims and proof, and stop treating an unresolved contradiction like a settled conclusion.
