yuko uno shares his deeply personal journey through the deconstruction of his Christian faith. He reflects on the abuse he experienced as a child, the difficult seasons that shaped him, and the questions that eventually led him to reconsider everything he thought he knew about God.

yuko explores what it means to become an atheist to the god you were taught to believe in—and how letting go of that god can create space to encounter the One who is actually there.

Deconstruction can be painful, confusing, and liberating. It can raise questions we were once afraid to ask and challenge beliefs we once thought were unquestionable. But sometimes, tearing down what no longer feels true is the beginning of discovering something deeper.

If you're struggling with your faith, questioning what you've been taught, or exploring a new understanding of spirituality, Solemn Place is a safe space for you. Bring your doubts. Bring your questions. Bring your uncertainty. Bring your seeking.

All are welcome.

What if reality is better understood as a process than a thing?

In part two of our conversation, Doc Mitchell joins yuko uno and yuka una to explore classical Chinese thought, the changing nature of experience, and why concepts like identity, time, and certainty may not be as fixed as we imagine. The discussion touches on Buddhism, Christianity, personal cultivation, and the idea that much of what we cling to may be more like a dream than an objective reality.

A thoughtful exploration of change, perception, and the search for what remains constant beneath life's unfolding seasons.
