Hello, friend. I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. It's early Tuesday morning, September ninth, and I'm willing to bet your mind is already spinning through your to-do list before your coffee's even cooled down. Am I close? That restless energy, that feeling like you're supposed to be three places at once? That's what we're here to soften today. Before we dive in, I want you to get comfortable wherever you are. Not perfect, just comfortable. Maybe adjust how you're sitting, or if you're lying down, let your shoulders drop away from your ears. There's nowhere to be right now except right here with me. Let's start by noticing your breath without trying to change it. Just watch it for a moment, the way you might watch clouds drift across the sky. In and out. In and out. No judgment, no forcing. Your breath is already doing its beautiful job. Now, I'm going to guide you through something I call the Softening Scan, and it's going to help that tension you're carrying just melt like butter on warm toast. As I mention each part of your body, imagine it's becoming heavy and relaxed, sinking deeper into whatever's supporting you. Start at the top of your head. Feel any tightness there, maybe from furrowed brows or clenched teeth, and just let it go. Let your forehead become smooth as still water. Now your eyes, your cheeks, your jaw. Release any grip you're holding there. So many of us clench without even knowing it. Move down to your shoulders and neck. These poor hardworking areas. Roll them gently if you want to, then let them settle. Feel them getting heavier, more relaxed with each exhale. Down through your chest and belly. As you breathe, imagine your breath as a warm, gentle light moving through your body, melting any knots of tension. Your arms, from shoulders all the way to your fingertips. Your hands can be open and soft. Your lower back, your hips, your legs. All of it just sinking, releasing, letting go. All the way down to your feet, grounding you right here on the earth. Take a few more breaths here, just noticing how different your body feels when you're not holding so tight. As we wrap up, I want you to carry this feeling with you today. When you notice tension creeping back in, pause for just one breath. One single conscious breath where you remember this softness. That's enough. That's everything. Thank you so much for spending this time with me on Relaxation. Your presence here matters more than you know. Please subscribe so we can do this together again soon. You've got this.
