Skepta returns with The Fork and Knife, his highly anticipated album scheduled for release on November 6, 2026, marking his first solo studio album since 2019’s Ignorance Is Bliss. The project finds the British-Nigerian rapper exploring new creative territory while remaining connected to the grime foundations that established his reputation. Blending grime, UK garage, house, jungle and electronic influences, the album promises an energetic sound shaped by Britain's underground music culture and the vibrant atmosphere of its clubs and rave scenes.

Beyond its production, The Fork and Knife carries a deeply personal message about identity, heritage and belonging. Skepta reflects on his experience as the son of Nigerian immigrants growing up in Britain, presenting cultural diversity as a source of strength rather than a limitation. His approach brings together the realities of modern London, the history of the Windrush generation and the influence of Nigerian-British culture. The album's lead single, “Innocent Smile,” featuring Chase & Status and Suggs, demonstrates his willingness to combine rap with unexpected musical influences and high-energy electronic production. “Gas Me Up (Diligent)” also appears on the project, connecting the release to an earlier chapter of his musical journey.

With its combination of personal storytelling, British cultural references and genre-blending production, The Fork and Knife represents an important new chapter in Skepta's career. The album positions him not simply as a grime veteran but as an artist continuing to challenge expectations and expand his musical identity.
