  • Taking Space (Being Disciplined Part 2)
    2026/09/04

What if you're not actually burned out from the work itself?

What if you're burned out from everything you've decided the work has to look like?

In this episode of The Singer's Path Podcast, Sarah continues the conversation around creative burnout, sustainable consistency, and the importance of creating space. She explores the invisible rules artists often place around their careers. The constant "shoulds," "coulds," "woulds," urgency, pressure to post, pressure to audition, and belief that more output automatically means more progress.

Sarah challenges the idea that taking a break is interrupting your work. What if space isn't a pause from the creative process, but the place where your next version of your work gets created? She shares how stepping away can create room for clarity, creativity, recovery, and a deeper connection to the purpose behind what you're doing.

This episode is for the ambitious artist who keeps pushing, keeps producing, keeps trying to "stay consistent", and is starting to wonder why the joy has disappeared.

  • Being "Disciplined" is Exhausting (Part 1)
    2026/08/28

What if the thing you've been calling a discipline problem is actually depletion?

In this episode of The Singer's Path Podcast, Sarah Bishop gets honest about her own experience with burnout, creative recovery, and intentionally stepping away from her business and social media while performing in regional theater. She explores the pressure artists face to constantly create, post, audition, promote, and "stay consistent", and why that relentless output can eventually drain the very creativity that makes your work magnetic in the first place.

Sarah challenges the idea that sustainable consistency means producing constantly. Instead, she explores the different seasons of creative work, producing, promoting, experimenting, absorbing (and recovering), and why creating enough space to listen to your body, your intuition, and your creativity is essential to knowing what you actually need.

This episode is for the artist who's been pushing harder and wondering why the joy has disappeared.

  • What If You're Not Stuck—You're Just Making It Mean Too Much?
    2026/08/21

You know that thing you're supposed to do.

The audition. The business idea. The song. The training. The next career move.

So why does taking that first step sometimes feel completely impossible?

In this episode of The Singer's Path Podcast, Sarah explores what happens when our dreams become so overwhelming that our brains and nervous systems start trying to talk us out of them. Through stories from her own career, including training as a voice teacher, building a business, releasing music, and navigating audition rejection, Sarah explores the meaning we assign to scary experiences and how those meanings can either keep us stuck or help us move forward.

You'll learn why you don't need to know the entire path before taking action, how to recognize when overwhelm is actually a form of avoidance, and why taking one tiny step can begin rebuilding trust with yourself. Sarah also explores the deeper stories underneath audition rejection, including the painful belief that you're "not chosen" or "not enough."
