  • HoM: Star Trek Podcast - "Imposters" (PIC) Review & More
    2025/09/07

Series 7, Episode 9 - "He just needs to grow up. I feel like he's being a huge baby."

It’s the final mission (for now) of Hit or Miss: Star Trek as we continue our Bajoran/Cardassian arc and wrap up the much-heralded (by us at least) “Ro Laren Trilogy.” This time Admiral Mike (temporary promotion to match Picard) is back in the hosting captain’s chair for a deep-dive into Star Trek: Picard season three’s “Imposters.” The “Ro Squadron” is finally at full strength: Jordan has been safely retrieved from the Bajoran Wormhole after going missing last week and reunites with Mike and Rune, with additional backup this week from special guest Justin Avery Smith. Together we beam into a packed episode starting with Justin’s favourite Bajoran/Cardassian picks and quickfire thoughts on Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy. From there it’s into the Hit or Miss gauntlet—where we debate an epic finale, a quirky fake ship, a slick new vessel, and a couple of familiar DS9 faces—before plunging into the review proper. Expect spirited debate on Ro’s shocking return and tragic (possible) end, her unfinished business with Picard, and how this arc ties all the way back to her TNG exit. Add in analysis of the new and returning cast, acting highs (and lows), and season three’s wider story, and you’ve got one heck of a shuttle ride. As always, we wrap with audience thoughts, closing verdicts, and final scores—because in Starfleet, every mission deserves a good debrief. Join us for this epic analysis, because while shore leave awaits, the Hit or Miss crew will return very soon with one last bit of business to conclude this series arc. Keep count of the lights…

  • SSP Cult Classics 39 - An Interview With Eddie Deezen
    2025/09/02

D.K's Cult Classics Episode 39 - "Perhaps some of those familiar faces of yesteryear are absent this evening because they thought our beloved Miss Lynch might have one of her famous English finals awaiting us. I was only joking."

This month’s Silver Screen Cult Classics review will arrive a little later than usual, but we’ve got a fantastic surprise to tide you over. Ahead of our big review of Grease, D.K sat down with Eddie Deezen — aka Eugene from Rydell High! With memorable turns in WarGames, Critters 2, 1941, Teenage Exorcist, The Polar Express and more, plus a prolific voice acting career, Eddie’s had one of Hollywood’s most fascinating journeys. You won’t want to miss this chat!
