Every zodiac sign has a shadow — where its greatest strengths twist into something unrecognizable. Libra's charm becomes manipulation. Scorpio's intensity becomes obsession. Cancer's devotion becomes a cage. Signs of Danger is a true crime astrology podcast exploring the darkest corners of human behavior. Each episode, host Jillian Clemmons breaks down one sign's psychology — then walks you through the real killers and predators who embody that shadow at its most extreme. The stars don't make killers. But they do leave fingerprints.Jillian Clemmons ノンフィクション犯罪 日次

"Every man has his passion. Some prefer whist. I prefer killing people." That is what he told authorities. Not under pressure. As a philosophical statement. He was the man standing between women and the border. The one who could get them across. There was no other side. There was only him. And once they were in the dark, in the woods, on the border between East and West Germany -- he raped them and killed them with hatchets, hammers, knives, and stones.

Three thousand miles south, a taxi driver in northern Chile offered free rides to teenage girls. He watched them for days before he made his move. Fourteen victims. Bodies thrown into abandoned mines.

Episode 18 is about the professional predator. The Cancer whose occupation -- smuggler, taxi driver, hitman -- gave him access to people who had no other choice. Three men. Three countries. Three professions. The work was the hunting ground.

Featuring: Rudolf Pleil (July 7, 1924). | Julio Perez Silva (July 15, 1963) | Andres Leonardo Achipiz (July 5, 1994).

  • Cruel Cancer: Heavy Is the Crown
    2026/07/14

There is a brain in a jar at Cornell University. It has been there since 1871. The second largest human brain ever recorded. The man it belonged to was a doctor, a lawyer, a philologist, a photographer, an inventor, and a murderer. He killed his wife with a pestle. He poisoned his infant daughter. He taught himself the science of language from a prison cell and tried to auction his manuscript for five hundred thousand dollars. Mark Twain wrote about him.

Three centuries earlier, another man with an extraordinary mind was killing the people closest to him. He did not use a pestle. He used the law. He executed two of his six wives, his most powerful minister, and anyone who became inconvenient to his dynasty. Tudor historians call it judicial murder.

Episode 17 is about power. The Cancer who uses position, intellect, and authority as the mechanism for destruction. A king and a genius. Different centuries. Same architecture: the shell of institutional power concealing the predator inside.

Featuring: Henry VIII (June 28, 1491) | John Edward Howard Rulloff (July 9, 1819).

  • Calculating Cancer: The Angel-Maker
    2026/07/13

She told the mothers their babies had been adopted by rich families in distant countries. One payment. One handoff. And your child -- the one born outside of marriage, the one you could not afford -- would be raised by people with means. The mothers paid. The mothers left. The mothers believed. What Elisabeth Wiese actually did was poison the babies with morphine and burn their bodies in a stove in her apartment. She was a former midwife. A woman trained to bring children into the world.

Seven hundred miles south, in Belgium, a woman served digitalis in tea to her elderly customers. When the drug began to work, she stole their money. Then she attended the funerals and wept hysterically. Between funerals, she was spotted in nightclubs, dancing with men half her age, spending the stolen money. She described one victim as "an angel choked with sauerkraut."

Episode 16 extends the caregiver theme into history. The Angel-Maker. The professional caretaker who uses the trust of the role to kill. Two women. Two centuries. The same architecture.

Featuring: Elisabeth Wiese (July 1, 1853) | Marie Alexandrine Becker (July 14, 1879).
