Sometimes showing up isn’t difficult because of the people around us. Sometimes the greater requirement is what showing up asks of us.
In Week 3 of Reclaiming the Space, I’m reflecting on what I began to notice when I stopped focusing only on how others were showing up and became more aware of what participation required from me.
Showing up asked me to be present.
To communicate.
To become aware of my own patterns.
To recognize where I had responsibility, choice, and room to grow.
This experience reminded me that reclaiming the space isn’t only about entering it—it’s also about becoming aware of how I choose to occupy it once I’m there.
