In today's episode, Chris and Danny discuss newer options for tapping into your home's equity. These options are known as Home Equity Investments (HEIs) or Home Equity Agreements (HEAs). Rather than taking on debt to access home equity, as one might with a HELOC, homeowners can give a third party a claim on a percentage of their home's value in exchange for cash upfront. While the idea may seem interesting at face value, there is a lot more beneath the surface that you need to understand before considering one of these options. Make sure to listen to this episode before you, or anyone you know, commits to using an HEI or HEA!
