  • S2:E11 | You’re Allowed to Want a Bigger Life
    2026/09/27

What if you look at your life...

and there are things you genuinely love?

    People you're grateful for.

Things you've worked incredibly hard for.

A life somebody else might look at and think:

    “She's lucky.”

    And yet...

there's still a little voice inside you saying:

    “I want more.”

    More adventure.

    More freedom.

    More money.

    More creativity.

    More experiences.

    More passion.

    More success.

    More life.

And almost immediately, another voice arrives:

    “Shouldn't you be grateful?”

In this episode of She’s Not Asking Anymore, I explore the guilt women can feel when they dare to admit that a good life isn't necessarily the only life they want.

Because somewhere along the way, many of us learnt to treat gratitude and ambition as opposites.

    But what if they're not?

What if you can deeply appreciate everything you already have...

and still be excited about everything you haven't experienced yet?

We talk about the invisible rules that shape how much we believe we're allowed to want, why women often make their dreams smaller when saying them out loud, our complicated relationship with money and ambition, and the difference between pursuing something because you believe it will finally make you worthy...

and pursuing it simply because it makes you feel alive.

And a bigger life doesn't necessarily mean a more expensive, successful or impressive one.

    Maybe your more is actually...

    less.

    Less work.

    Less noise.

    Less obligation.

    More peace.

    More creativity.

    More laughter.

    More intimacy.

    More freedom.

    More time.

    Because bigger is personal.

This week's practice, The Unapologetic Want List, asks you to finish one sentence without censoring yourself:

“If I didn't have to justify it, I would want...”

    No making it sensible.

No worrying whether you're too old.

No deciding whether you can afford it.

No wondering what everybody else will think.

    Just honesty.

Then we ask something even more important:

Do I actually want this... or do I want what I think having it will prove about me?

Because your dreams don't need to impress anybody.

They need to belong to you.

    🎙️ She’s Not Asking Anymore — Season 2, Episode 11
You’re Allowed to Want a Bigger Life

You don't have to hate your life to change it.

You don't have to be miserable to want more.

You don't have to apologise for ambition.

And you don't have to make your dreams small enough to keep everybody else comfortable.

    You can say:

**“I'm grateful for what I have...

and I'm excited about what I could create next.”**

    So dream bigger.

    Or quieter.

    Or wilder.

    Or softer.

    Whatever bigger means to you.

Just make sure the life you're building...

is one you actually want to live. 💖✨️

  • S2:E10 | What If It Actually Works Out?
    2026/09/20

When you think about the future...

how quickly does your mind find everything that could go wrong?

    What if I fail?
    What if they say no?
    What if I embarrass myself?
What if I get excited... and it all falls apart?

We can become so good at preparing ourselves for disappointment that we forget to ask another possibility:

What if it actually works out?

In this episode of She’s Not Asking Anymore, I explore what happens when protecting ourselves from disappointment starts preventing us from experiencing hope.

We talk about why hope can feel surprisingly vulnerable, the difference between preparing for a possible problem and emotionally living through a disaster that hasn't happened, and why “I'm just being realistic” can sometimes disguise the fear of allowing ourselves to believe something good might happen.

    Because fear isn't foresight.

    Anxiety isn't a crystal ball.

And uncertainty doesn't belong exclusively to fear.

    Possibility lives there too.

We also explore something we don't talk about nearly enough: the fear of things actually going right.

    What if they say yes?

    What if the opportunity arrives?

    What if your idea works?

What if you find your people?

    What if you succeed?

What if the relationship is healthy?

What if the peace you've been waiting for finally comes... and stays?

Sometimes surviving difficult things teaches us how to endure pain.

But another part of healing can be learning how to remain present when life is good — without immediately preparing ourselves for its disappearance.

Because you are allowed to enjoy something before you know how it ends.

You are allowed to hope without a guarantee.

And you don't have to experience tomorrow's possible pain today.

This week's practice, The Other What If, asks you to notice every negative “What if?” that appears — and give another possibility a seat at the table.

    What if I enjoy it?
    What if they say yes?
What if I'm actually good at it?
    What if people support me?
What if this becomes one of the best decisions I've ever made?

Not because everything will work out exactly as you want.

But because failure hasn't already been confirmed either.

    🎙️ She’s Not Asking Anymore — Season 2, Episode 10
What If It Actually Works Out?

    Sometimes things work out.

    People stay.

    Opportunities arrive.

    Doors open.

    Friendships happen.

    Businesses grow.

    Hearts heal.

    Lives change.

And sometimes, after years of preparing yourself for the worst...

    something simply goes right.

    So take the step.

    Send the email.

    Open the door.

    Let yourself hope a little.

    And if something wonderful happens...

    let yourself have it. 💖✨️

  • S2:E9 | The Life You Thought You’d Have By Now
    2026/09/13

There is a version of your life...

that only ever existed in your imagination.

    The relationship.

    The house.

    The career.

    The money.

    The friendships.

    The confidence.

    The places you'd travel.

The person you thought you'd become.

And somewhere along the way, many of us created an invisible deadline:

    “By 30...”
    “By 35...”
    “Definitely by 40...”

Then we arrive at that age and realise our actual life looks nothing like the one we'd imagined.

And quietly, we begin to wonder:

    “Have I fallen behind?”

In this episode of She’s Not Asking Anymore, I explore the invisible timelines we place on our lives — and what happens when reality takes us somewhere we never planned to go.

We talk about social comparison, the pressure of life's supposed milestones, and why somebody else's good news can sometimes touch something tender inside us even when we're genuinely happy for them.

We explore the grief that can come with losing a future you once imagined — even if that future never actually existed — and why acknowledging “I really wanted that” doesn't make you ungrateful for the life you have.

    Because you can be grateful...

    and disappointed.

You can celebrate somebody else's happiness...

and still feel an ache for something you want.

You can love the life you've built...

and still wonder about the life that never happened.

    And perhaps most importantly:

    Different doesn't mean over.

Maybe the original dream needs adapting.

    Maybe it needs grieving.

Maybe you've realised you don't even want it anymore.

    Or maybe...

    it needs resurrecting.

This week's practice, The Two Futures, asks you to honour The Life I Thought I'd Have before turning the page and asking:

What do I actually want from here?

Not according to somebody else's timeline.

Not according to the plan you made when you knew less about yourself.

    From where you're standing today.

    Because perhaps the question isn't:

“Where should I be by now?”

    Perhaps it's:

“Given where I actually am... where would I like to go?”

    🎙️ She’s Not Asking Anymore — Season 2, Episode 9
The Life You Thought You’d Have By Now

Your life is not a failed version of an old plan.

    It's still happening.

There are people you haven't met yet.

    Places you haven't stood.

    Conversations you haven't had.

Versions of yourself you haven't become.

And days that will eventually become some of your favourite memories...

    that haven't even happened yet.

So honour the life you thought you'd have.

But don't let an old dream stop you from creating a new one.

You've still got pages to write. 💖✨️

  • S2:E8 | Who Are You When Nobody Needs You?
    2026/09/06

What would happen if you woke up tomorrow...

and for one whole day, nobody needed anything from you?

    No problems to solve.

    Nobody to organise.

    Nobody asking, “Can you just...?”

    No work demanding your attention.

No responsibilities pulling you in ten different directions.

    Just you.

Would you know what you wanted to do?

For so many women, life gradually becomes organised around one question:

    “What needs doing?”

And somewhere along the way, we stop asking:

    “What do I actually want?”

In this episode of She’s Not Asking Anymore, I explore what happens when our identities become so intertwined with motherhood, relationships, careers, caring, responsibility and being useful that we begin to lose sight of the woman underneath them all.

We talk about why freedom can sometimes feel surprisingly uncomfortable, why we can miss being needed even when we've desperately wanted more space, and the complicated relationship between usefulness and self-worth.

Because if being needed has become evidence that you matter...

who are you when nobody needs you?

This isn't about abandoning the roles you love.

And it certainly isn't another project to “find yourself.”

    Instead, we're exploring something gentler:

    curiosity.

    What do you enjoy?

    What catches your attention?

What have you always wanted to try?

What would you do if nobody else's opinion mattered?

And when was the last time you did something for absolutely no reason other than...

    you wanted to?

This week's practice is the “Just Because” List — a simple invitation to rediscover the interests, desires and curiosities that have nothing to do with being productive, useful or needed.

Because not everything has to have an outcome.

    Sometimes...

    joy is the outcome.

    🎙️ She’s Not Asking Anymore — Season 2, Episode 8
Who Are You When Nobody Needs You?

The roles you carry may be some of the greatest privileges of your life.

    Love them.

    Honour them.

    Be proud of them.

    But don't disappear inside them.

You were somebody before everybody needed you.

You're somebody while they need you.

And you'll still be somebody when they don't need you in quite the same way anymore.

So this week, do something wonderfully unnecessary.

And when that little voice asks:

    “What's the point?”

    Tell her:

“I enjoyed it. That was the point.” 💖✨️

  • S2:E7 | When Being Strong Becomes Your Prison
    2026/08/30

What happens when being “the strong one” stops feeling like a compliment... and starts feeling like a job you’re never allowed to clock out of?

    You’re the dependable one.

    The person everybody calls.

The one who sorts things out, keeps going, listens, fixes, organises and somehow finds a way through — even when you’re struggling yourself.

And because you’ve always been capable, people assume:

“She’ll be fine. She always is.”

But who looks after the woman everybody else relies on?

In this episode of She’s Not Asking Anymore, I explore what happens when strength becomes an identity — and why constantly being the capable one can sometimes prevent us from admitting that we need support too.

We talk about the difference between healthy independence and feeling as though you have to do everything yourself; why survival strategies can remain long after the situations that created them; the hidden resentment that can build when you’re carrying too much; and why some of us find it far easier to give care than to receive it.

Because perhaps you don’t need another person telling you:

    “You’re so strong.”

Perhaps, for once, you need someone to say:

“You don’t have to be strong with me.”

We also explore the uncomfortable relationship between usefulness and self-worth, why rest can sometimes feel surprisingly difficult, and the vulnerability involved in allowing another person to genuinely show up for you.

And this week’s practice asks you to look at everything you’re currently carrying and decide:

    What is mine?
    What should be shared?
And what was never mine to carry in the first place?

Because you do not have to earn rest by reaching breaking point.

You do not have to prove your resilience by continually enduring things.

And you do not have to be everybody else’s safe place while having nowhere safe to land yourself.

Maybe the next chapter isn’t about discovering how much more you can carry.

Maybe it’s about discovering what becomes possible when you finally put some of it down.

  • S2:E6 | Stop Shrinking to Fit Places You’ve Outgrown
    2026/08/23

Have you ever walked away from a conversation and realised...

    you weren't really being yourself?

Maybe you stayed quiet when you wanted to speak.

Made your dreams sound smaller than they really are.

    Dismissed a compliment.

Said yes when everything inside you wanted to say no.

Or changed parts of yourself because you weren't sure how much of you the room could handle.

Sometimes we become so good at shrinking to belong that we don't even realise we're doing it anymore.

In this episode of She’s Not Asking Anymore, I explore what happens when the woman you're becoming no longer fits comfortably inside the relationships, environments and expectations built around the woman you used to be.

We talk about belonging, identity and the exhausting habit of monitoring ourselves through other people's eyes. We explore why growth can sometimes feel incredibly lonely, why outgrowing something can involve genuine grief, and why missing what you've left behind doesn't necessarily mean you should go back.

Because you can love people and still outgrow a dynamic.

You can miss an old version of yourself without wanting to become her again.

You can set a boundary and still wish you didn't need it.

And you can choose yourself without making somebody else the villain.

This week also comes with a challenge: to start noticing the moments when you make yourself smaller — and experiment with taking up just five percent more space.

    Not by becoming louder.

    Not by becoming somebody else.

But by closing the distance between who you are privately...

and who you allow yourself to be in the world.

Because perhaps the woman you're becoming doesn't need you to become more.

Perhaps she simply needs you to stop becoming less.

Stop Shrinking to Fit Places You’ve Outgrown

If this episode makes you think of a woman who's been making herself smaller just to belong, send it to her.

You are allowed to take up space in your own life. 💖✨️

  • S2:E5 | You Don’t Need Permission Anymore
    2026/08/16

What if the thing holding you back isn’t fear of failure… but the fact that you’re still waiting for someone else to tell you it’s okay?

In this episode of She’s Not Asking Anymore, I explore the invisible ways women learn to seek permission — to change, to want more, to set boundaries, to take up space, to begin again, and even to become someone the people around them may no longer recognise.

We talk about the hidden cost of being liked, why other people’s disappointment doesn’t automatically mean you’ve done something wrong, and the difference between being selfish and becoming truly self-led.

Because sometimes the people around you are comfortable with the version of you who stayed quiet, said yes, kept the peace and made herself smaller.

And when that woman begins to change?

    Not everybody will understand.

This episode is an invitation to stop asking:

    “Am I allowed?”

    …and start asking:

    “Is this right for me?”

You can love people deeply without handing them authority over your life.

You can be grateful and still want more.

You can listen to advice without abandoning your own voice.

And you can become a woman you haven’t even met yet.

    You don’t need permission anymore.

If this episode speaks to you, follow the podcast and share it with a woman who needs reminding that her life doesn’t require unanimous approval. 💖✨️

  • S2:E4 | The Power of Starting Again
    2026/08/08

What if starting again doesn't mean you failed?

We celebrate beginnings, but we rarely talk about what happens when the life, relationship, career or dream we thought would last... doesn't.

And suddenly we're standing at a crossroads wondering:

    What do I do now?

In this episode of She's Not Asking Anymore, Zara explores the courage it takes to begin again—and why changing direction isn't proof that you got your life wrong.

We'll explore the psychology behind why we hold onto things we've invested so much in, why uncertainty can make familiar situations difficult to leave, and why starting over can feel like losing part of our identity.

But most importantly, we'll challenge one of the biggest myths about starting again:

You are not starting from zero.

    You're bringing every lesson.

    Every mistake.

    Every heartbreak.

    Every boundary.

    Every piece of wisdom.

Every version of yourself that fought to get you here.

Whether you're rebuilding after a relationship, changing careers, rediscovering yourself, beginning a new dream or simply realising that something in your life needs to change...

    this conversation is for you.

Because starting again isn't proof that your previous chapter was wrong.

    Sometimes...

it's proof that you've finally become brave enough to write the next one.

🤍 Share this episode with a woman who needs reminding that beginning again is nothing to be ashamed of.
