    James 4:4 - "You adulterous people! Don't you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God."


    Today's episode is rough, I'm not going to be lying to you.

    It's really hard to sit down in honesty with yourself and reflect on your choices, but it's so so necessary.

    We cannot be in this world and be children of God, it's either or and I know which one I'm choosing.


    Today's reflective challenge:

    - are you 100% in it with God or are you still trying to be a friend to this world?

    - are you still trying to be friend with sinfulness, or are you standing firm in God's word?

    Psalm 91:1 says "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." God is our safety, our place of rest, He is our shelter. So why aren't we running to Him everyday and letting Him take care of it? In today's episode, I share my thoughts on this situation, as well as a personal story of how God's comforted me in the last week. We don't have to be strong and independent women, we don't have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders everyday. In fact, we shouldn't do that! God wants us to depend on Him, to rely on Him and leave every situation in His hands. Today's reflective challenge: - what are you carrying today? Write it down and pray over it daily, give it to God and trust Him to figure it out.     John 6:35 - "Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."" We live in a society of constant dissatisfaction, looking for the next big thing, the next thing that will fill us with joy and then we'll be satisfied. And us Christian girlies, we are definitely not innocent here. We might not be pining for the latest gadgets, like the dyson air wrap, or adding to our makeup collection because the La Roche Posay Effeclar balm is going to solve my skin condition. But, we definitely are guilty of thinking that getting married is going to solve our problems or having a new baby is going to save my marriage, or a kid is going to give me purpose. We're hungering for satisfaction in things that will never satisfy us, and why aren't we running to God to satisfy us? Today's reflective challenge: - look at your life and identify what you're trying to get to satisfy you. - why do you think it's going to fill you with joy?
