 John 6:35 - "Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."" We live in a society of constant dissatisfaction, looking for the next big thing, the next thing that will fill us with joy and then we'll be satisfied. And us Christian girlies, we are definitely not innocent here. We might not be pining for the latest gadgets, like the dyson air wrap, or adding to our makeup collection because the La Roche Posay Effeclar balm is going to solve my skin condition. But, we definitely are guilty of thinking that getting married is going to solve our problems or having a new baby is going to save my marriage, or a kid is going to give me purpose. We're hungering for satisfaction in things that will never satisfy us, and why aren't we running to God to satisfy us? Today's reflective challenge: - look at your life and identify what you're trying to get to satisfy you. - why do you think it's going to fill you with joy?
