    2025/07/28
In Episode 56: The Sojourner’s Truth, we take a deep dive into identity and spiritual growth, looking at what it truly means to live as a sojourner according to Scripture. As part of The Becoming Series, this episode calls you to reflect on your identity—not as the world defines it, but as our Creator designed it.Psalm 39 reminds us how brief life is. Yet in that brevity, God gives our days deep meaning. He chose you, appointed you, and calls you dearly loved. Still, it’s easy to hold on to who you used to be. That’s why this episode charges you to release every former identity and embrace the truth of who you are because of and in Christ. We also explore the emotional tension that comes with spiritual transformation—the grief of releasing old versions of ourselves and the longing for the glory that lies ahead. Ultimately, The Sojourner’s Truth reveals this: we are only travelers here on earth. Life is meant to pass by, and every season is only for a time. Tune in for this honest, hope-filled conversation about identity, eternity, and the path toward our highest calling as mature Believers.Scripture References:Psalm 391 John 3:1Ephesians 2"4-51 Peter 2:9John 15:16Colossians 3:12Isaiah 43:12 Corinthains 5:17Galatians 2:20Isaiah 64:82 Timothy 1:9Phil 3:20Isaiah 43:1 If today’s episode resonated with you and you’re looking for more tools to help you process your identity and journey of becoming, I’ve curated a list of highly recommended books and resources from trusted Christian voices. • E54 | The False Comfort of Yesterday
    2025/05/28

Are you struggling to move on from a version of yourself that once felt more secure, successful, or put together? In this powerful episode of the She’s Marked Podcast, titled “The False Comfort of Yesterday,” we explore what it means to grieve your past self, stop looking back, and say yes to the new identity God is forming in you.

Drawing from the story of Lot’s wife in Genesis and other biblical truths, “The False Comfort of Yesterday” challenges the emotional and spiritual dangers of misplaced nostalgia and comfort in former identities. We discuss how to bring your soul into agreement with the new thing the Lord desires to do in your life (Isaiah 43:18–19) and why clinging to the past can hinder your healing.

    • You're feeling stuck between who you were and who you're becoming

    • You're struggling to let go of your past identity or lifestyle

  • E53 | Healing the Heart that Misses Who You Were
    2025/04/30

There are moments when the mirror reflects more than our faces — it echoes the ache of who we used to be.

Maybe you miss the version of yourself who felt alive, carefree, full of possibility. The one who hadn’t yet walked through loss, disappointment, or the quiet weariness that crept in as the years passed. Maybe it feels like your best days already came and went… and now you’re just trying to make peace with what’s left.

If that’s you —you’re not alone.

In this opening message of our new series, Becoming Her, we’re sitting with the ache of becoming — that often uncomfortable space between who you were and who God is shaping you to be. We'll talk about what it means to grieve (and honor) former versions of ourselves without staying stuck in them. We'll explore how God meets us in our transitions, and how loss, and change are not the end of the story... but part of the refining He uses to make us whole.

Whether you're navigating aging, identity shifts, disappointment, or transition, this conversation will help you process that quiet ache with spiritual depth, emotional honesty, and biblical hope.

Because you are not behind. You are not less valuable now. And the most beautiful parts of your story might still be waiting to unfold.

The Lord doesn’t just work in your past.
He’s here — in your present.
And He's shaping Himself in you, even now.

  • E52 | Leave & Cleave: Chains in Exchange for Freedom
    2025/03/27

It's time to release our chains in exchange for freedom.

We all have a story—things we’ve been through, struggles that left a mark, and moments that shaped us. In the beginning, that story helps us make sense of it all. It gives us language for our pain, allowing us to process what happened.

However, over time, if we’re not careful, that story can shift. Instead of serving as a stepping stone, it becomes our excuse, our crutch, and even our shield. Before we know it, we’re cleaving to the very thing that’s been holding us back.

That heartbreak, that betrayal, that loss—yes, it happened. And yes, it mattered. Even so, it does not have to define you.

The enemy would love for you to stay stuck there, replaying it over and over, making it the reason you can’t move forward.

But here’s the truth: God calls you to leave and cleave—to leave behind the weight of what was and cling to what is good (Romans 12:9).

    In this episode, we’re unpacking:

✔️ How our stories slowly morph into sob stories that keep us stuck
✔️ Subtle ways we cling to pain instead of God’s promises
✔️ Recognizing the enemy’s strategy to keep you bound to your past
✔️ How to break free and cleave to Christ instead

Your past may have shaped you, but it does not own you. Now is the time to stop cleaving to the wounds and start cleaving to the One who heals.

Key Scripture: Romans 12:9 – “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.”
