Correction Is Not Rejection

What if the people who love you most are the very people God uses to help you grow?

In this conversation, we explore the role of discipleship, accountability, and submission in our spiritual growth. We talk about the importance of having people in our lives who have permission to correct us, challenge us, and speak truth when we are walking or talking out of character.

Correction can hurt, but correction is not rejection. True discipleship is more than having someone pour into you. It is allowing someone to help Christ form His character in you.
We also unpack the difference between healthy accountability and control, why the more authority we carry, the more accountability we need, and what happens when our gifts grow faster than our character.

Come reflect with us on three important questions:

• Who is discipling me?
• Who has permission to check me?
• Where am I submitted?

Because if nobody can correct you, nobody can disciple you. And if nobody can disciple you, your gift may grow faster than your character.

This is a conversation about becoming more teachable, more humble, and more willing to let God use community to shape who we are becoming.

Love Leaves Evidence is a message about the visible proof of an invisible God.

Scripture tells us that no one has seen God, yet when we love one another, His presence becomes visible through us. In the same way you can walk into a home and know someone has been there because of the evidence they left behind, an encounter with Jesus should leave evidence in the way we live, love, lead, parent, work, and treat the people around us.

The message challenges the difference between inspiration and transformation: inspiration may change how we feel in a moment, but transformation changes who we become. Our lives are being “read” by the people around us, and the question is whether they encounter merely us or evidence that we have been with Jesus.

At its heart, Love Leaves Evidence is a call to make the love of Jesus tangible. That kind of love isn’t passive or convenient it costs us our preferences, pride, ego, and need to be right. Jesus demonstrated the ultimate cost of love at the cross, and when we choose costly love, we begin to look like Him.

The practical invitation is simple: make room. Make room at the table, in your schedule, and in your relationships. Learn someone’s name. Pull up a chair. Pray. Invite. Notice the overlooked. Help someone experience belonging.

Bottom line: If we’ve truly been with Jesus, His love will leave evidence wherever we go.
