    Have you ever wondered what it takes to juggle the roles of actress, director, producer, voice over artist and surfing enthusiast?

    In today’s episode, we’re recording at Apricot Aura studio in Geelong, and I’m thrilled to introduce my guest, Ella Bourne. Ella is an actress, director, voice over artist and producer who truly does all the things! She was recommended by another guest, Zena, who described Ella as an amazing friend and a creative powerhouse. I knew I had to get her on the podcast!

    About Ella: We kick off with Ella sharing a little bit about herself, where she grew up, and how those experiences shaped who she is today. Her journey is inspiring, and she’s taken on a whole laundry list of roles, thriving as a multi-talented woman in the industry. We also discuss how she has been living in LA the past decade.

    Acting & Inspiration: We dive into how Ella became an actress and what inspired her to venture into acting. She gives us insight into her time in LA, where many Aussie actors go to hone their craft and chase big dreams.

    Directing & Documentary: Not only is Ella an actress, but she’s also a keen surfer and has taught surfing. She made her director debut with the documentary “Great Ocean Love.” Ella shares how this project came about and her motivation to direct a documentary close to home.

    Creative Sustainability & Hightide Production Co. In 2016, Ella graduated with a Master of Arts, with a thesis titled ‘Creative Sustainability.’ This passion led to the creation of Hightide Production Co, a company focused on the environment and positive social discourse. Ella discusses whether this was always her plan or a passion that evolved over time.

    Upcoming Projects: Ella is set to be a producer on the upcoming film “Cowboy The Movie.” She talks about this exciting project and what it means to her.

    Voiceover Work: We also explore Ella’s work as a voiceover artist, how she learned the craft, and whether it was a natural extension of her acting skills.
