Women in Australia retire with an average 23% less retirement savings than men. That’s a real super gender gap. Our financial lives can be quite complex, however many of us don’t know who to turn to for support in a financial services industry that wasn’t built with us in mind. That’s why we created Verve a community for women, men & non-binary folk who believe in our mission of closing the super gap.

She was the glue that held her family together. On her 35th birthday, she told them about her new partner. Six months later, her dad and brother broke into their home, they found her dead.

Her name is Nikkita Azzopardi. Her brother Shaun, sister Farrah, and cousin Priya join me today to share her story.

At the intersection of Johnston and Gore in Collingwood, the face of a young smiling woman beams across passers-by. Say her name to any Melbournian and they'll tell you what they were doing when they heard the news about her murder. Her name is Courtney Herron. She was only 25.

Today, Courtney's mum Maxxi and baby sister Sian speak publicly for the first time about their person. There's is not an easy story to tell - they will be discussing physical and sexual violence as well as drug use and suicidal ideation.
