Sondra Martin Hicks, filmmaker behind the award-winning documentary series War At Your Door, streaming on Angel Studios, shares an encounter with Jesus that left her asking: “Can I please just stay here?”
What did Jesus say?

In this episode of Encounterable, Sondra joins Ben and Jodie Hughes to share her remarkable testimony—from a deeply personal encounter with Jesus to surviving a devastating truck accident in Uganda and witnessing healing while documenting stories of faith.
She shares what she experienced, what Jesus told her about worship, and how those moments shaped her calling to tell stories that point people to Him.

In this conversation:
• Her encounter with Jesus and the question she couldn’t help asking
• The “sword of worship” and her encounter with King David
• Surviving a truck accident and the prayers that followed
• The testimony of a deaf man receiving his hearing
• Following God’s call into filmmaking
