  • 86: You're Not Overwhelmed. You're Undecided.
    2026/08/17

You keep telling yourself the same thing: there's just too much on my plate. But Angie dug into the capacity research and found the story is backwards. In a study of more than 800,000 workers, the biggest drain on capacity wasn't the volume of work or conflicting information, it was the lack of clarity, not knowing what was actually theirs to own. In other words, it's not what's on your plate. It's everything on it you haven't decided yet.

In this solo episode, Angie breaks down why the decisions you don't make are the most expensive ones you'll ever carry, the ones that tap you on the shoulder again and again, quietly taxing the same mental capacity you need to actually decide. She walks through the three kinds of decisions (the free ones already built into who you are, the cheap ones you make once and commit to, and the costly open loops), then hands you a simple practice: list what's undecided, then either decide it now or schedule when you'll decide it. Because scheduling a decision isn't indecision, it's deciding to decide, and that alone closes the leak.

The takeaway is yours to use today: close the open loops, and watch your capacity come back.

    In this episode, you'll hear:

    • What 800,000 workers named as their single biggest capacity drain
    • Why the decision you keep putting off costs you more than the one you make
    • The "brain battery" math, what a day of your capacity is actually worth
    • How scheduling a decision for later frees you up as much as making it now
    • The reason the Morning Mindset Journal leaves your whole day feeling different

  • 85: The Capacity Leak Nobody Talks About, with Dr. Anna Marie Frank
    2026/08/04

You already know the obvious leaks. Ruminating at midnight, saying yes when you meant no, running on four hours of sleep and a lot of coffee. There is a fourth one, and almost nobody names it, because it does not look like a leak. It looks like being good at your job.
It is the energy you spend overriding yourself. Every time your body says no and you stay in the room anyway.
Dr. Anna Marie Frank, naturopath and founder of Happy Whole You, did it for eighteen years inside a career she knew she needed to leave. At 38 an MRI came back and a doctor told her she needed a hip replacement. Then autoimmune markers showed up in her bloodwork. She walked away on her 40th birthday, and within a year the markers improved and the hip she was told to replace felt fine. She never had the surgery.
In this episode she teaches Angie how to read the signals most of us have filed under "just how I am," and the two of them get into why the mental work alone never closes this particular leak. Your capacity is your most precious resource, and this conversation is about where it goes when you are not looking.
    In this conversation, you'll hear:
    - Why you can do all the mental work on a pattern and still watch yourself run it again
    - What a 2 to 3am wake-up points to, and why 1am means something different
    - The 60-second reset Anna Marie walks Angie through on the spot, which you can do tonight in bed
    - The moment she feels Angie's ear and lands on something from when Angie was four years old
Also in this one: what a quivering tongue says about your nervous system, why Anna Marie has to stop friends from screenshotting dating profiles for her to read, and the one ear shape she says to run from.

  • 84: I Know Better. So Why Don't I Do Better?
    2026/07/21

You understand it, you've read the books, listen to the podcast, maybe even did therapy. You understand where the old story came from and you have made real peace with it. And then the trigger hits, and the same reaction shows up like nothing ever changed.

In this solo episode, Angie sits with a question one of her clients asked her: I have worked through this, so why do I keep reacting the same way? The answer is that understanding and habit live in two different places. Knowing better is the diagnostic. It gets you part of the way and then stops. The rest is a skill Angie calls prompting, where you catch the trigger and hand your brain the thought you want it to run instead, again and again, until the new story becomes the automatic one.

Understanding brings you peace. Prompting is what turns that peace into progress.

    In this episode you'll hear:

    • Why years of therapy can leave the old pattern fully intact
    • The research-backed reason insight only takes you part of the way
    • The exact one-line prompt a client now uses every time money hits her account
    • How your brain pairs a trigger with a new thought so you stop having to catch it every time

If this one lands, send it to someone you love who has been running an old narrative and needs a new prompt.
