    THIS IS THE 'SEVERED: ORIGINS' BREAKDOWN OF 'ETERNAL SUNSHINE' - PT05
    Welcome back for Part Five of this Ultimate breakdown of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." If you've come this far, there's not a lot I can say. It's time to delve into Joel's humiliations. This is the cringy stuff Charlie Kaufman really likes to write about. It might leave you feeling just a bit sick to your stomach...that's okay, it's the CK way.

    Mrs. Howard makes a visit! Mary starts to kiss Howard right in front of the big window that's all lit up all of a sudden in Joel's apartment. They start this at the exact same moment as Mrs. Mierzwiak comes rolling up in her Chevy Sedan. Hollis unloads on Howard plus she spills the beans about Mary. At least she causes Mary to ask some questions that Howard finds hard to answer. Deceiving Mary will prove to be a very bad idea.

    This ORIGINS entry is a trippy 2004 title from French Director Michel Gondry. Both Dan Erickson and Ben Stiller list it as an inspiration. It stars Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey. This is considered one of the best things Jim Carrey has ever done.
