He has risen!

What if the people around you are more open to God than you think? In Luke 10, Jesus reminds us that the harvest is plentiful, then sends His disciples out as messengers of His kingdom. The difference is whether you are aware of it. When you know how much you have been forgiven, love flows freely. When you forget, faith becomes small and self-centered. True faith is not about what Jesus can do for you. It is about what you give Him. When your faith becomes Jesus-centered, worship becomes extravagant.

Guest preacher Pastor Josh Butler preached on “You Must Be Important”. In 2 Samuel 9, King David shows extravagant kindness to Mephibosheth, someone who had every reason to expect rejection, not welcome. An enemy’s descendant. A man in a low place. Yet David pulls him to the table and treats him like family. Pastor Josh reminded us that this is what God is like: A kind King who moves toward people, not away from them. A King who rewrites stories. A King who says, you matter more than you think. No matter what your past has told you, a new story is possible through King Jesus. And it starts with this truth: you must be important.

Pastor Ashish preached from Psalm 23 with a message about walking through the valley. He reminded us that sheep are not strong or self-sufficient. They are needy, vulnerable, and easily lost, just like us. And yet they are never abandoned by the Shepherd. He taught us about the wadi, the dark and dangerous valleys where life feels most uncertain. Places of fear, instability, and hidden threats. But even there, God does not leave us. The Good Shepherd stays close. He protects. He guides. He corrects with love. Pastor Ashish invited us not to rush past God’s Word but to soak in it, to let it steep deep in our hearts until it brings clarity and life. No matter how dark the valley feels, you are not alone. The Shepherd is with you.
