The heist was just the beginning. After narrowly escaping the Shattershield estate with the life-saving elixir, our party retreats to a safe house to lick their wounds and uncover the truth behind the ambush. In this episode:
- A Safe Haven with Secrets: The party takes refuge in A'Liss's gadget-filled abode, complete with hidden rooms and experimental prototypes.
- The Prisoner’s Tale: An interrogation of a captured guard reveals a shocking betrayal. It turns out the party wasn't just unlucky; they were expected—and the orders came directly from the Shattershield heir, Duren.
- The Infernal Signature: A mysterious gold amulet found on the prisoner pulses with weighted magic. Upon closer inspection, it reveals a terrifying connection to the Archdevil Zariel and a contract that reaches the highest levels of Baldur's Gate.
- A Race Against Time: While the cure is delivered to the clerics in the Outer City, the group realizes the plague may be a mere smokescreen for a much more sinister infernal plot involving the Vanthampur family.
