Why Are You Weeping?

In John 20:1-18, Mary Magdalene stands outside the empty tomb weeping. Jesus has risen, but Mary does not recognize Him. The world has already changed before her heart can understand what has happened.

Then Jesus speaks one word:

“Mary.”

The resurrection is God’s act for the world. Jesus speaking Mary’s name is God’s act for Mary.

In this message, Artie Farve explores grief, resurrection, recognizing Christ’s presence, and the hope that Jesus may already be near even when we cannot see what He is doing.
