A full Sabbath School Bible Study reading for Q3 2026, Week 11, “Stewardship and Mission"

Stewardship and mission go together in this Sabbath School Bible study on 2 Corinthians 8 and 9. Lesson 11 examines how Jesus' self-giving example shapes the way Christians view generosity, service, planning, and unity.

Christopher Beason reads the quarterly lesson, Scripture passages, and selected writings from Ellen G. White. The study focuses on 2 Corinthians 8:9, where Paul describes Christ leaving heavenly glory and becoming poor so that we might receive the riches of salvation.

This week's lesson covers:

• Jesus as the model for Christian stewardship

• Giving as a response to God's grace

• Planning offerings with thought and purpose

• Proportional giving according to one's means

• The Macedonians' joyful and voluntary generosity

• Giving as an act of worship and consecration

• How offerings can unite believers and support mission

• Practical ways to imitate Jesus' self-giving example

The memory text is 2 Corinthians 8:9: "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich."
