このコンテンツについて
For the September 20, 2023 episode of Jay in the City, we turn the spotlight on the Bridgeport Film Fest with a conversation rooted in community, creativity, and storytelling. The episode features Joseph Dickerson of Sustainable CT, a local nonprofit that has supported the Bridgeport Film Fest for the past two years and other local organizations across the state, sharing insight into the organization’s mission and its commitment to sustainable, community driven work.
We are also joined by filmmakers Brian Russell and Ross Popick, live in the studio, with Laneshe Miller White calling in. All three filmmakers had films featured at this year’s Bridgeport Film Fest, and the conversation highlights their creative journeys, their connections to Bridgeport, and the importance of telling authentic stories. Brian and Ross are local filmmakers, while Laneshe grew up in Bridgeport and continues to make impactful work from Philadelphia. It is an energizing, thoughtful episode celebrating local artists, meaningful partnerships, and the power of film to connect community.
Special thanks to Rod Richardson for all of his behind the scenes support!
