What does true forgiveness look like? In this homily, Fr. Rob examines Peter's question about how often we must forgive and the surprising answer Jesus gives in return. Believing he is being extraordinarily generous, Peter suggests forgiving seven times, only to discover that God's mercy extends far beyond human calculations.
Fr. Rob explores how this Gospel reveals the heart of Christian stewardship: recognizing that everything we have, including mercy, compassion, and love, is a gift from God. Just as we depend on God's limitless forgiveness in our own lives, we are called to extend that same forgiveness to others. When we freely share the gifts we have received, God's presence becomes visible in the world through us. And in the mystery of God's grace, the more we give, the more we discover that God's love can never be exhausted. This reflection challenges us to let go of a scarcity mindset and embrace the abundance of God's mercy.
