This compelling collection of sermons by John Calvin seeks to illuminate the profound doctrines articulated by one of historys most revered theologians. Compiled without sectarian bias, these sermons cover a diverse range of subjects, allowing readers to grasp the essence of Calvins teachings, which emerged during a time of immense intellectual darkness dominated by superstition and idolatry. Calvin and his contemporaries, like Luther, were pioneers in liberating the human mind from the oppressive yoke of papal authority, striving to usher humanity into the freedom of the gospel. Originally translated and published in England around 1580, these sermons have not seen a new edition since. Due to the limitations of the English language at the time, this revised version has been meticulously crafted to retain the original meaning while enhancing clarity and accessibility.Copyright Family and Culture キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 聖職・福音主義
