  • Apr 10, 2026: The Canucks tank nears finish line; moving down in the draft?
    2026/04/10

The Canucks continue to find new depths as they lose another, so Matt and Blake get into the criticism from some that the Canucks are tanking too hard this season. They deal with the swirling rumours of offseason change where everything is on the table, and they talk about the myriad of choices to make if the Canucks end up drafting 3rd overall. Jeff Marek from The Sheet makes his weekly visit to discuss his upcoming visit to BC and a look at prospects like Landon Dupont and Carson Carels. Marek gets into his visions of the changes in Vancouver, the future of Allvin and Foote, and whether changing coaches hurts development of young players. RinkWide Vancouver's Jeff Paterson stops in to discuss the duelling reports of the future of Canucks management. He gets into the coaching decisions of Adam Foote and whether the Canucks can really bring him back, plus, JPat talks about the lack of college signings at the NHL level and the possibility of any new practice facility being underserved with just one ice surface. The guys wrap up the show with a preview of the Whitecaps lineup for tomorrow, a peek at the Masters leaderboard and some poor behaviour at Augusta??

  • Apr 9, 2026: Canucks stay or go: the NHL staff, AHL staff, the draft picks
    2026/04/09

Will they stay or will they go?! It applies to so much in the Canucks organization these days! Matt and Blake tackle the issues as reports continue to come in on whether coach and managerial changes are in the offing at the end of the season. The guys look at the readiness of people like Ryan Johnson and Manny Malhotra, whether Patrik Allvin could be reassigned to a new position, and whether trading picks for players is what people wnat this offseason. They also make sure you're up to date on the lineup as the Canucks hit the road in California. TSN's Darren Dreger pays a visit to the show to discuss all the smoke around the Canucks these days. He has his view on the job stability for those currently with the NHL gigs, and whether the AHL guys are being poached, especially with NHL vacancies increasing around the league. Dregs also talks about the team's timeline to make any staff change and the willingness to part with top draft picks for the right NHL player. Then it's Rob Williams from The Daily Hive on the effect of this season on the Canucks' fanbase and season ticketholders. Rob checks the pulse of the rebuild and whether people are ok with its direction thus far. Rob also updates his thoughts on the possibility of an Elias Pettersson trade, and the look ahead to the lottery on May 5th. Matt and Blake finish up with a look at the Jays, Mariners and C's fates last night. They check in on the Whitecaps tinkering with positional changes at training, the Lions bring back a familiar name as a coach, and the Seahawks explain the method to the madness around Kenneth Walker!

  • Apr 8, 2026: A Battle for RJ(Johnson)? Catching up with RJ (Johansen)
    2026/04/08

After Ryan Johnson rumours begin to percolate, Matt and Blake delve into the possibility of an internal promotion causing a GM change in Vancouver. The guys look at RJ's resume so far and his fit with the team right now, amid contradictory reports of the Canucks' willingness to make sweeping changes off the ice. TSN's Frank Corrado joins the guys to discuss the RJ/GM possibility and his own personal interactions with the man. Frankie also talks about the Canucks making proactive/protective changes in order to keep Johnson and/or Malhotra. Plus, Corrado gets into the future of the Canucks goaltending situation and the unexplained extra futility for the Canucks at home. Then it's the pride of Port Moody, Ryan Johansen, to talk about his retirement from the NHL and his years of duelling with the best centres in the Western conference. Ryan talks about facing the Sedins, playing in front of Vancouver fans, and whether he was ever close to playing for the Canucks. He also gets into his meteoric rise from BCHL to WHL to 1st round pick! The guys wrap up with a peek at the opener for the C's at the Nat, the Jays and Mariners can't buy a win, and an update on the Whitecaps and Goldeneyes!
