    Ashvin Chhabra is President of Euclidean Capital, which is responsible for the management of investments for James H. Simons & Marilyn Simons and their associated foundations. The Simons Foundation is dedicated to advancing research in basic science and mathematics.

    Dr. Chhabra was Chief Investment Officer and head of investment management and guidance at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management from 2013-2015. He was the Chief Investment Officer at the Institute for Advanced Study from 2007-2013 and Managing Director and head of wealth management strategies and analytics for Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Client Group from 2001-2007.

    Ashvin is also the author of The Aspirational Investor, published by Harper Collins in 2015. He is widely recognized as one of the founders of goals based wealth management and for his seminal work “BeyondMarkowitz '' which integrates Modern Portfolio Theory with Behavioral Finance and proposes a novel Wealth Allocation framework.

    Dr. Chhabra is the immediate past chair of the Board of Regents for the Financial Analysts Seminar of CFA Institute. He is also a member of the international advisory board of EDHEC-Risk Institute, the Board of Trustees of the Stony Brook Foundation, and the investment committee of the Institute for Advanced Study. He holds a PhD in applied physics from Yale University in the field of nonlinear dynamics (Chaos theory).

Prior to Abbot Downing, Tom spent five years at Wilmington Trust's wealth advisory group as an investment officer and the main architect for his client portfolios. Tom earned his undergraduate degree from the University Park campus of Penn State.

    Tim Kochis is the CEO of Kochis Global and the former CEO and chairman of Aspiriant. He has five decades of professional finance experience. He is a prominent figure in the wealth management space having served as president of The CFP Board of Standards and as chair of the Financial Planning Standards Board and as a trustee of the Charles Schwab Investment Management Mutual Funds and ETF’s Board.

     

    He serves on a number of boards including the Asia Foundation, 1990 Institute, the Asian Art Museum and the University of San Francisco.  

     

    Kochis earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, a JD from the University of Michigan, and his undergraduate degree from Marquette University. Kochis served in the US Army with a tour of duty in Vietnam, where he received a Purple Heart for wounds received in action.

    On the second episode of Seeking Risk: The Fab Rick Show, Rick is joined by Jacob Tamme. They discuss Jacob’s NFL background, the risk narrative and Jacob’s advisory approach. 

     

    Jacob Tamme is the director of the sports and entertainment division of Meridian Wealth Management, and RIA based in Lexington, Kentucky.

     

    Jacob knows a lot about sports.

     

    He played football at University of Kentucky, where he was inducted in the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame, and was the SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year.

     

    He was picked in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL draft by the Colts, and played tight end for nine years for the Colts Broncos, and Falcons. Jacob is one of few players to have played in three Super Bowls for three different teams.

     

    In addition to his wealth management career, Jacob and his wife Allison own Tamme Valley Farm, a registered Angus seedstock operation, co-founded the Swings for Soldiers Class 2010 and have three kids: Luke, Lyla and Ella.
