If God is really first in your life, what does your calendar say?
In this episode of Getting Real with Real, Coach Real steps into the pulpit solo for a message straight out of Matthew 6:33 — "seek first the kingdom of God." He breaks down the Greek behind "seek" and "first," and makes the case that Jesus isn't asking for whatever room is left on your schedule. He's asking to be first, before anything else gets a vote.
Then Real gets real about a moment two years ago when he was called to pastor a new campus and said yes before he even finished processing it — quoting Isaiah 6:8 on the spot. His wife said no. Real walks through the anger, the frustration, and the hard lesson God had to teach him about what "first" was actually supposed to mean — and why his wife wasn't standing between him and his calling. She was part of it.
He closes the episode by running the math on your average week — work, sleep, and the hours nobody's accounting for — and makes the case that if God isn't first, that's not a scheduling problem. That's a priority problem.
