  • Philippians 4:6–7 — Worry Is Its Own Prison
    2026/09/22

*"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."* — **Philippians 4:6–7, NLT**Welcome to Seeds of Hope with Pastor Joe — a 5-minute sit-down to carry into your day.You know that 3 a.m. feeling — eyes open, mind running, playing the same worries on a loop? Then you carry it into the day like a weight in your chest. Here's a question: what was keeping you up at night this time last year? Can you even remember? Most of us can't. The things that felt unbearable usually passed. That's worth noticing. There's a letter in the Bible written by a man named Paul, and he wrote it from prison — actual chains. And he says: don't worry about anything; instead, talk to God about everything. Tell him what you need. And thank him for what he's already done. There's something in that last part. If you're going to worry about tomorrow, it's worth remembering — he hasn't failed you yet. Then comes the promise: a peace you can't fully explain, standing guard — that's actually a military word, like a sentry posted at a gate — over your heart and mind. Worry can be its own prison. Peace can be the open door.Take Root: Think back to this time last year. What was weighing on you? Now look at where you are today. Take a minute — out loud, even — and tell God one thing you're worried about right now, and one thing you're thankful he's carried you through.Seeds of Hope is a ministry of Acres of Hope Christian Fellowship, North Haverhill, New Hampshire.https://acresofhope.netAlso on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music.

  • Matthew 11:28-30 — Rest for the Weary
    2026/09/16

"Then Jesus said, 'Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.'" — Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

Pull up a chair and join Pastor Joe for a few minutes in Matthew 11. We'll talk through what Jesus really means by rest — and what changes when we trade our heavy yoke for His light one.

    Take Root
