Scripture: Psalm 116:1-19

This week, we continue to walk through Hebrews 11:4–40, where we see the incredible faith of those who came before us. We hear about people like Abel, Abraham, Moses, Rahab, and many others who trusted God even when things didn’t make sense. Their faith helped them stand strong and keep going through difficult seasons.

This week, we take a look at Hebrews 11:1–3 and 6, where we see what true faith really looks like. Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Through faith, we understand that God created everything by His word. And without faith, it’s impossible to please Him—because faith means trusting that He exists and rewards those who sincerely seek Him.

This week, Pastor Jim walks us through Hebrews 10:26–39, a powerful reminder of the seriousness of turning away after knowing the truth. The author warns that rejecting Christ leaves no other sacrifice for sins - only the judgment we deserve. This passage also calls believers to endure in faith, remembering how we have already suffered for Christ and joyfully endured hardship for His sake. We’re urged to hold that same confidence and keep pressing forward.

This week, Pastor Jim takes us through Hebrews 9:1–28, where we see the contrast between the old covenant sacrifices and the once-for-all sacrifice of Christ. Earthly rituals could never fully remove sin, but Jesus, through His own blood, secured eternal redemption. He is the perfect mediator, offering us cleansing, forgiveness, and the promise of everlasting life.
