Prophets, Shepherds, Poets and Kings is a series delving into the history of the people of God found in 1 and 2 Samuel.
Today we continue our deep dive into the history of the people of God in 1 and 2 Samuel. We began with a longed for baby, continued with a cry for a king which was fulfilled in the anointing of Saul. He began well but things went downhill with a series of catastrophic failures that led to God rejecting him as king. We then met a young shepherd boy called David, a keen harpist, giant slayer and a good friend in this series which we’re calling this Prophets, Shepherds, Poets and Kings.
The story continues in 1 Samuel 21-24 as we discover David on the run from Saul. There's discussion of lying, caves, ambushes and sorrow.
There are segments to enjoy including the reading of the passage, 'The Cloud' and 'What Now?'.
This episode was engineered and edited by Aimee Higgins.
