As discussed at the end of Episode 18, Kate and I are off to Portland. It’s just after New Year’s and we are packing the car for the trip. We are going to just show up at the apartment with our dog, actually Ian’s dog, to just say Happy New Year and see how he’s doing.
Nutter rides really well in the car. We drive half way there and get a flea bag motel that takes dogs – Motel 6 – we’ll leave the lights on for yah. The dog actually did very well sleeping in the strange room even though the walls are very thin d there are noises – lots of noises. The next morning, we get up and finish the second half of the drive. We find another Motel 6 in PDX – it’s actually right across the road from one of the stores Ian worked for with hardware company. It was sad for Kate to see the store and think of where things are with Ian.
