• Lucas Pina and Bubba Indorato: North Atlantic Traders
    2026/07/11

Thank you for tuning into the SeaBros Fishing Podcast!

On this episode we met up with Lucas Pina and "Bubba" Indorato of North Atlantic Traders at the Monahan's Marine Tackle Shop Lounge. For those of you unfamiliar with North Atlantic Traders (NAT), they are one of the primary tuna buyers in New England, and one of the largest tuna buyers in the United States. The company began in 1994, and has has grown from one man and a truck to a fleet of drivers that spread out across the Northeast. When the domestic tuna season is closed, NAT also works with their international partners to source tuna to insure reliable year-round access to product.

Lucas is the general manager at NAT, and is responsible for grading and selling tuna and other fish throughout the season. Bubba is one of NAT's veteran truck drivers. You may have had Bubba pickup a fish from you, or you may have seen him on Nat Geo's Wicked Tuna.

We have personally been selling our tuna to NAT since Mass Bay Guides was started by our father in 1999. Working with Lucas, Bubba, and the other crew at North Atlantic Traders has been a pleasure. We truly feel they have always been fair and always work their hardest to ensure our fish are treated appropriately and given the best opportunity possible at market.

In this conversation we talk about all aspects of selling tuna. We discuss how fishermen should be treating their fish, how the fishery has evolved over the years, how the slower tuna fishing north of Cape Cod in 2025 impacted business, and we squash several conspiracies that some fishermen historically have with tuna buyers.

Lucas and Bubba are finest kind and we hope you enjoy this conversation with Mark as much as we did!

  • Captain Mark DeBlasio - Blue Runner
    2026/06/09

Thank you for tuning into the SeaBros Fishing Podcast!

On this episode we had the pleasure of talking with one of the most well respected offshore fishing captains in the Northeast, Captain Mark DeBlasio of Blue Runner Sportfishing. We have admired Mark's dedication to offshore fishing for a long time. His attention to detail and professionalism in what he does are second to none.

Mark has spent the last three decades fishing the waters of the US East Coast and Bahamas. He is equally passionate whether chasing Bigeye and Yellowfin Tuna in the Canyons, Giant Bluefin Tuna in New England and North Carolina, or wreck fishing New Jersey for Blackfish and Sea Bass. Mark’s reputation as a consistent producer along with his friendly demeanor, have made Mark one of the premier charter captains worldwide. During his career, Mark has placed in over 50% of tournaments entered, put clients on an IGFA all tackle records, he's been named a Top 50 Captain worldwide by Saltwater Sportsman and most recently voted the 2019 Top Charter captain in the United States by Sport Fishing Magazine.

Is this conversation we talk a lot about tuna fishing. Mark discusses the winter bluefin tuna fishery in the Outerbanks and talks about how he has seen the fishery evolve. He also shares the stories on some of his tournament wins and placements, including what it was like to take home over $1 million dollars.

Marks is a standout captain and guy. As humble as they come, but an absolute killer offshore.

We hope you enjoy this conversation with Mark as much as we did!

  • Captain Kevin Albohn - Light Tackle'n
    2026/03/31

Thank you for tuning into the SeaBros Fishing Podcast!

On this episode we had the pleasure of sitting down with Captain Kevin Albohn of Blueline Fishing Charters. We came to know Kevin through mutual friends within our fishing networks, and talked during multiple seminar seasons here in New England.

Kevin's intro to offshore fishing is very similar to a lot of our guests and listeners. He has been a fisherman since he was very young and did his first offshore tuna trip at 13 years old. While pursuing his college degree(s), Kevin worked in the marine industry as a mechanic at a local marina. He is also law enforcement veteran where he had the opportunity to spend several years in the marine division. He was trained in tactical boating operations, water rescue and several other marine safety courses. He is also a trained public safety scuba diver.

With over 30 years experience on the water, Kevin is a well respected charter captain and has focused on light tackle offshore fishing. After his eyes were opened to jig and pop style tuna fishing, Kevin has been refining these tactics and has based his charter business around it.

In the conversation, we talk all things light tackle tuna fishing. Kevin discusses topwater tactics, jigging for tuna, and the best ways for safely targeting giant bluefin tuna on light gear. We tell some charter fishing stories, explain some theories, and Kevin shares some recent experiences tuna fishing off North Carolina and in the Gulf of America.

We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did!

  • Captain Brett Wilson - "Charter Life"
    2026/03/02

Thank you for tuning into the SeaBros Fishing Podcast! On this episode we were excited to welcome back Captain Brett Wilson of Hindsight Sportfishing.

In this conversation with Brett, we our time talking about this past charter fishing season. We fish a lot of the same areas and have a very similar fishing schedule throughout the summer and fall. To neither of our surprise, last season was a grind for both of us and others in our network of charter guys. When it came to the tuna fishing, we agreed that last season was a struggle north of Cape Cod. There were some great days in the mix, but we had to work hard for tuna bites and made a lot of pivots to other species to keep customers happy.

Brett reviews what he has seen in regards to bluefin tuna fishing over the past decade. He tells stories from his trips to Georges Bank and what conditions pushed him and fellow fishermen to go there.

We wrap up with a few deer hunting stories and Brett brings us a tail from a 1,200lb bluefin that we are going to refinish for him.

Brett is a funny dude and great captain. We hope you enjoy this podcast as much as we did!

  • Captain Damon Sacco - 2025 Bluewater Season Review
    2026/02/05

Thank you for tuning into the SeaBros Fishing Podcast!

On this episode Captain Damon Sacco of Castafari Sportfishing returns for his fifth podcast appearance with us.

Damon is a pleasure to talk to and always has great stories to share. In this conversation, Damon reviews the 2025 canyon fishing season. He talks about what he experienced in regards to fishing, weather, and he discusses the epic billfishing that occurred during the 2025 Cape Cod Bluewater Classic.

Damon also talks about the bluefin tuna fishing near the wind farms south of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. We theorize as to why the bluefin fishing was very steady on those grounds and not so much in Massachusetts Bay. As usual Damon has some awesome travel fishing plans for this winter, including fishing in the Red Sea. He talks abut where he's going and what bucketlist species he's looking to target

Finally, we spend time talking about the upcoming 2026 Castafari Offshore Fishing Seminar (February 28 & March 1 in Newton, MA), which is always an educational and exciting event to attend. Damon talks about some of the new presentations on tap for this year's event and mentions some legendary captains and fishermen that will be speaking.

  • The Sears Brothers - 2025 Charter Season Recap
    2026/01/20
Happy new year everyone and thank you for tuning into the SeaBros Fishing Podcast! On this episode, Taylor and I sit down to review the 2025 Mass Bay Guides charter fishing season. It's been a bit since recording our last podcast, and it felt really good to sit down and talk fishing. Since our season ended, we have spent the past couple of months focusing on family time and relaxing during the holidays. In this conversation we discuss our experiences and what we learned during each phase of our fishing season last year. We talk about the early migration striped bass fishing, shad fishing, summer & fall tuna fishing, and the amount of shark bi-catch that we had last season. 2025 was hands down one of our most challenging years of fishing in our area, especially in regards to tuna fishing. We theorize and explain our best educated guesses on why we didn't see consistent tuna fishing in Massachusetts Bay last year. This was also our first fishing season without our father "Old Greg" in the mix. He's still around, and doing well, but some medical issues impacted him prior to our fishing season and he couldn't be on the water last year.It was great to sit down as brothers, talk fishing, hunting, and just catch up on life. We are both excited to get season 7 of the SeaBros Podcast going. There are some great guests and topics lined up for this year. As always, thank you all for listening and for the support!Stay Tight,The Sears BrothersSponsors, Information, and Links from this podcast episode:Guests:Captain Bryan SearsCaptain Taylor SearsSocial Media:SeaBrosFishing: @seabrosfishingMBG Fishing Charters: @massbayguidesBryan: @mbgbryanTaylor: @mbgtaylorWatch this Podcast on YouTubeNEW! • Captain Joe Dion and Mike "Hackah" Miller - "Bronze Mackerel"
    2025/06/02

Thank you for tuning into the SeaBros Fishing Podcast!

On this episode we had the pleasure of chatting with two very experienced bluefin tuna harpooners, Captain Joe Dion and Mike "Hackah" Miller.

We have known Joe and Mike since our dock rat phase as kids. Mike has been chasing giant bluefin tuna since the hand-line fishing days in the 1970s and 1980s. Joe has been tuna fishing since he was a child, and his first ever trip harpooning was with Mike back in the 90s. Both of these guys were recently featured on the new Discovery Channel show "Harpoon Hunters." If you haven't watched the show yet, you absolutely should. Some of the aerial shots they captured are incredible.

In this conversation Joe and Mike talk in detail about the harpoon fishery. They discuss everything from flying and spotting fish from the airplane, the type of water and conditions they look for from the tower, and the different behavior fish exhibit during their migration into New England waters in the early summer. Some of the stories that these guys share are amazing. They talk about what they have found in fish's stomachs, sticking big fish right off the beach in shallow water, and much more.

This podcast was truly awesome. Joe and Mike are hilarious and shared a lot of information with us. We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did!
